Re: Theme park with back pack????

We don't go to the parks without a backpack. It's not a large one by any means and we try not to take items we don't need. After a couple of trips, we've learned what we need to take and what we don't. But the backpack works great for us!

Re: Theme park with back pack????

I am waiting for the day when I can go without a backpack, but, for now, it works. I am slowly weaning myself off of it.

Love it!!!

I don't have any kids so Dave and I are pretty low matience. We usually just put some stuff in a little coin purse and put that and the camera in his pockets and we're off.
However, that's not logistical for you. I'd do what everyone else says..bring a stroller just in case..even if your DD falls asleep in your arms or something you can always put her in the stroller so you won't have to carry her everywhere. And when she's not using it you can put your backpack in it.

Re: Theme park with back pack????

I can't imagine doing WDW without a stroller. We've been 2x, and are planning our next trip for October, and we are definitely bringing it along. We always bring extra clothes for the kids (all 3 of them, DD5, DD2, and DS 2, you just never know what will happen), and diapers for twins. It's nice to have that storage. Although, we think we're going to bring 2 separate strollers next trip, instead of the big Winnebago double stroller we have now. I just refuse to pay an outrageous amount of money in the parks for something that doesn't cost me anything to bring from home.

Re: Theme park with back pack????

I went to WDW last May with a 4 month old and my diaper bag/backpack was a LIFESAVER!! I love them because being a diaper bag they have the individual compartments so I don't have to dig thru the whole thing for diapers or wipes. I did hang mine on the stroller or stuff underneath. I'm buying a new one for November because the snaps on my current one are worn out.

We do the same thing, and my children are ages 9, 7 and 4! They each carry their own very small backpack with a change of clothes rolled into a large plastic ziplock bag. They also are responsible for their autograph books and any other junk they decide to cram into their bags.
