SpectroMagic Parade
If this parade is being shown once per night, which direction does it run, from the front of the park to the back or the other way? Is the area around the LTT a good place to watch the parade and then FIS?
How about exiting the park from this area after these two events? I am trying to figure out if we can do a PS at LTT, then SM and FS on our arrival day (4:00am wake up). I think that SM and FIS will only be offered on our arrival day in October. Thanks! |

The parade starts in the front of the park. We usually find a place in Liberty Square to watch, it seems to be less crowded there. We don't usually have a problem leaving the park, we take our time and enjoy the night.
You will have a long day with a 4 am wake up. How old are your kids (if you have any)?

I was able to see Spectro Magic right on Main Street. I can't remember where exactly we were sitting in front of. We stayed after words because of the fireworks at the castle. It's an amazing view from the street.

Last time I saw Spectromagic it was in front of City Hall. It was the perfect place for a quick getaway! But, too close to the beginning to see properly. I would choose the area in front of the Train Station next time.

being realistic(big sad sigh..)
There is no way to do it all! DH (oops I mean the kids, HA) will not make it through the first day if I try to get them all to do what I want to do.
Now that I have confessed to definitely being a planning commando and possibly a touring one (my DH big fear), what time do we need to stake our claim at the train station to see spectromagic go by at 8:00? Can we make it from there back to the Polynesian beach for fireworks at 9:00? Thanks! |

I would judge the decision on when to stake your claim based on the park crowds. If it is really crowded, check main street aound 7:00 and see if people are lining up. You will probably be fine with 7:15 or 7:30 if crowds are light. If you make a mad dash as soon as you see the end of the parade and are standing near the train station you'll get a big jump on those exiting. Head straight to the resort boat launch to the Poly and it will let you off right on the beach. If the fireworks start before you get to the beach you'll at least be able to see them from the boat.

How About FitS Viewing...
...From 2nd floor of train station after Spectro? We're going to try to see Spectro & FitS our first night @ WDW.
I'ts going to be a long day after our 3:30 a.m. wake-up for a 6:50 a.m. flight, so expedient departure afterwards would be ideal!

On our last trip, we ate at LTT and were done about half an hour before Spectro started, and had an EXCELLENT view outside the Hall of Presidents.
LRTJS, they should still have a Spectro in Oct. it would most likely be a Saturday night, sometimes a Fri. or Sun. Amy:)
