We've always booked a MYW package, so when I got an e-mail from Disney with a discount code for room only, I was a little hesistent. But for a 40% off room only, that hesitation goes away fast. Booked it without even consulting DH!

Now we are getting close to August, so I figured I better purchase our tickets. The CM was very nice to deal with. My question to fellow MB'ers is he said I would receive the tickets 7 to 10 days from now. I really don't want separate tickets. I would much prefer to have them on my room key. Is that possible?

Even when we ordered tickets in the past, they were always tied to our room key when we arrived. We never got anything ticket-wise in advance. However, we have gone through travel agents both of those times. I'm curious to know what happens since you booked directly through Disney.

When you get there and get your room key you can then go to concierge and have your park tickets added to your room key. We have done so on both of our past 2 trips without any problems.

We had our tickets added right on to our room key when we checked in.. no biggie.

Side note: We get offered NOTHING in the way of promotional discounts anymore. I guess they know were coming back.. and feel no need to encourage us.

How do you get your park tickets added to your room key? This is all new news to me. So what you're telling me...I can purchase my passes at the Disney Store in advance and when I get to the resort, I can have them added to my room key? Is that right?

If you purchase your tickets in advance (and it does'nt have to be from Disney) they have value. When you check into your resort and get your room key, as one thread said, go to guest services at your resort and have your tickets and room keys combined. But first ask, as you're checking in, if the CM could do it from the front desk.

I don't remember the last time I got any kind of discount, either. OH WELL!

This was the first and only discount ever sent to me. To be truthful, I don't even know how they got my work e-mail address, as I have always given them my home e-mail address. We still giggle about that they must have known how much I needed this, that they sought me out at work!
