Baby Swaps

I know that depending on the ride, they do baby swaps differently. I think it would help if there was a list of some sort so we'd know ahead of time how they handle the swap at a particular ride.
If there is no list , we could start one here ? To help others ?

Or do they change up once in a while?

I'll start:

MGM

Rockin Rollercoster - receive a "fast pass" type ticket / wait by the exit

Star Tours - everyone goes to the ride entrance / CM's swap you here

AK

Dinosaur - everyone goes to the ride entrance / CM's swap you here

Primeval Whirl - receive a "fast pass" type ticket / wait by the exit

MK

Space Mountain - receive a "fast pass" type ticket / wait by the exit

I know there is a bunch more, but these are the only ones I was sure of from last week.

They must change these regularly, cause at Dinosaur and Test Track we waited by the Exit in a little seating area.

Also, just for your info.. Universal does the child swap as well, we did this on Jurassic Park River Adventure. You wait by the exit there too.

I agree with Willbegone...I think it must depend on what is going on at the time....

When we went a couple of weeks ago, I was instructed to go to the exit of TOT and inform the bellhop of the baby swap. There was no ticket.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was the same.

I don't know if this will help or not...

Can I get a description of how baby swap works?
Do you have to have the full party present to get a baby swap pass?

HA! HA! Thanks for thinking of me DisneyAnne, I must have been on your mind! ;)

I do agree with WDWFAN, I think it depends on the CM at the que. On most we fast passed but on Test Track they sent us to the exit.

One confusing thing about Baby Swap... On E-ride nights, we received conflicting information if Baby Swap was in effect or not. At BTMRR, the cast member at the front didn't know (first night) or said they don't do Baby Swap during e-rides (second night). Both times, cast members on the inside said "we always do baby swap."

Most of the time, it's not really an issue, but the one e-ride was sold out and lines were running about 20 minutes for BTMRR and Space Mountain.

This varies also since I was able to walk up by myself and get one for the rides where you are given a ticket. Sometimes I'd just go up with the baby, kind of use him like an ID! LOL

At other rides the whole party is escorted to the ride entrance so you's all have to be together.

I think it changes per CM?
When we were at Primeval Whirl, we all had to wait in line, and then their was a family waiting area. This is a hassle when you have a 12 month old.

Always ask, we even got a CM to let us do "the sawp" at Peter pan, because my little 9 month old DS was sleeping. What a joy for my 5 year (and us, for not waiting in another 45 minute line!)

We were told most of AK was set up as I mention above, due to the fact that they built the park and attractions with this in mind, so there is no entering the exit (even though thats how we did it with the River Rapids.)

When we did one on ToT a CM brought me and my daughter through the 'backstage' area to the waiting area at the end. It was really cool, one of the most interesting parts of the trip!
