This is one of those rides that should really have the Fast Pass service available along with the Tea Cups, as come lunch time it's mental!!!!! My Advise is try and get these done as soon as possible during the day! It's not nice queing for upto 2 hrs with two young kids! JUST RELAX!!!!!!

Re: I should know this..Dumbo question....

I am sure some sort of Disney math went into the decision to leave it out of fast pass.

Get to MK first thing in the AM. Enjoy the openining ceremony.

When they drop the rope, head directly to Dumbo. We've always managed to get the first ride of the day - even at Thanksgiving and Spring Break. Maybe wake up Tinkerbell on your way.

There is nothing Fast about this line. If you can, get there early.

Re: I should know this..Dumbo question....

Although there is not a Fastpass offered for Dumbo we have managed to ride it each trip without having to wait in line more than 5 minutes. We arrive at MK at opening time (or sometimes we have an early am ADR for Crystal Palace) and we head directly to Fantasyland. We've managed to get that entire land covered in an hour!! We just did this over Spring Break in March and it was sooooo nice.

Re: I should know this..Dumbo question....

They do have more than one Dumbo ride. They have Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride in MK and the Triceratop Spin in AK. Once the crowds start to thicken at around 11:00 AM, it is time to avoid fantasyland for the most part. Early morning or late night during EMH is really the only time to be there.

Re: I should know this..Dumbo question....

Ds loves this ride and I hate waiting in an endless line. It seems to take forever for such a short ride. I really wish they did have fast pass for it.

I agree! Once the crowds start picking up in MK this is one that always has long line.

We've been lucky enough twice to get in early enough to hit Fantasyland and do all the really popular, classic rides without much of a wait. The first time was because we had an early ADR at Crystal Palace, and the second time was because my girls had the earliest appointment at Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique in the castle last October. The second time was especially nice because our youngest DD was still too short for a lot of rides, but not for the ones in Fantasyland. We let her lead us from one ride to the next so she could kind of feel big. We wouldn't have been able to do that if it had been even a little bit crowded. Those early ADRs into a park restaurant make such a difference in your touring plans!

Re: I should know this..Dumbo question....

I am so glad my kids are "over" Dumbo. What a slow moving line. A fast pass line probably isn't a bad idea, except for the fact you will always have to wait for the ride to finish. Thank heavens for continuously loading rides!!

Re: I should know this..Dumbo question....

If we can't have fast pass, could we at least get more shade while waiting in holding pens? I know they have a few umbrellas, but they only seem to shade about 3 people at any given time.

Re: I should know this..Dumbo question....

There is no fast pass for any of the "Dumbo" rides.
Dumbo, Astro Orbiter, Aladdin's Carpets, and Triceratop Spin are non-fast pass attractions. You walk up and you wait your turn.
I agree with Tonyksl, late EMH is probably the easiest time to ride. That or first thing in the morning.
