Re: Do you use touring plans?
I think we did in the beginning but now we just do our own thing, we tend to plan the days around EMH or ADR's or just whatever we feel like doingwhen we wake up if we have no reservations! Sometimes I feel we see more of the parks just by doing our own thing.

Re: Do you use touring plans?
Our plans are broken out by days, and what parks we are going to which days, along with any ADRs we have made. We try and synch it up to the EMH schedule for the most part. Our first trip, we also had a list of our "must-do" attractions in each park, but now we realize we will return enough times, we'll eventually get to everything!

Re: Do you use touring plans?
Once you have been to Disney several times, you don't need one. I think after 3-4 times, it was easy to plan your days months in advance. I am also able to go during the slowest times of the year, so, that has quite a bit to do with it. You can plan which parks you are going to visit on the days you are going to be there. Once you have that, you can make your ADRs. Some things don't change. Such as hit Soarin, Kiliminjaro Safari, Dumbo etc. as early as possible. After that, use the fastpasses wisely and you can get everything you want done. It's knowing how to use the fastpasses wisely that is key.

Re: Do you use touring plans?
With FPs, crowds, and rain, a day at WDW is really unpredictable. You can't really plan out minute-to-minute what you'll do. We have a basic route in each park. We always enter Magic Kingdom and go straight to Space Mountain for FPs. Straight to Expedition Everest in AK, Soarin' in Epcot, and Rockin' Rollercoaster in Disney's Hollywood (so difficult to abbreviate...). Our FPs play into deciding what we'll do when, as well as ADRs. We hit main attractions in the morning to avoid crowds, and go on others when we see the line is short. And when it's raining, we head for a line with an indoor queue. At WDW, you have to be prepared for changes.

Re: Do you use touring plans?
I use touring plans and I have found them very helpful in avoiding long lines. I do modify them based on our individual tastes, and I always allow for spontanaity; still, I find it definitely helps to have a plan. I never want to be in one of those groups standing in the middle of a park, huddled around a map, debating forever about what to do next.
