Do you use touring plans?

I am just curious to see how many mousebuzzers use touring plans in the parks.
And you could also mention where you get your plans or if you make them yourselves.
Thanks!

Re: Do you use touring plans?

For the most part, the only plans I have are which park on what day and where I am eating if I have any ADR's. Once I am at the park, I see how crowded it is and pick the rides accordingly.

Re: Do you use touring plans?

We make a schedule based on which parks have EMH and where we're eating that day. Some EMH we do and some we skip so we plan around those and avoid the parks we're not doing EMH.

I don't use any site to plan our parks, we skip a park if we aren't doing the EMH and we know to go to the that had EMH the night before if it works into our schedule. We always have a plan but we are flexible once we get there.

Re: Do you use touring plans?

Nope, I used them once and found they weren't really helpful. We plan ADRs based on nighttime EMH but that's about it. We are pretty go with the flow when it comes to the parks.

Re: Do you use touring plans?

I half agree with Bella.
I fully agree with the second part. I don't agree with the part about using a plan once and deciding it didn't work because I've never used a touring plan.
Once I'm in a park, I prefer to be a pinball bouncing off the bumpers.

Re: Do you use touring plans?

I use their crowd level chart to help me pick what parks we do on what days, but to actually use their touring plans for inside the parks would be exhausting and too planned for my liking. I like to go with the flow once in the parks.

Re: Do you use touring plans?

The only thing we take into consideration is where we have ADRs for that particular day. Other than that, we are "fly by the seat of our pants" travelers. It's worked for us so far.

Re: Do you use touring plans?

We also do tourguide Mike to determine which parks are busiest. That really seems to work for us. So I make our adr's based on that as well and take in to account EMH's.

Re: Do you use touring plans?

I do but I cater them to what we like and I figure in where to stop for a CS lunch based on where we'll be at lunch time. We don't do all the "thrill" attractions. It has always worked great for us! We don't run from attraction to attraction though. We just move leisurely through but we definitely have a plan when it comes to what to do next. I hate the question, "well, what do you want to do next?"....that's a waste of time in our opinion.

We do not use touring plans. We make up a small schedule that includes our ADR's and just go with the flow.

Me, too! When I compare my two TGM trips with the one I took before I used TGM, the difference was amazing!

Re: Do you use touring plans?

I voted 'sometimes' but only because there wasn't a 'sorta' choice.

The first time we went we tried a tour plan from one of the guide books but it ended up being too much and too structured for us. Now we take all the info we can find, read through it, take suggestions from tour plans that make sense for our family based on past experience, put our thoughts/plans on paper, then go with the flow once we hit WDW and the parks. I'm not sure if that even makes sense. But that's our "plan" and it usually ends up being no plan unless we have ADRs.

Re: Do you use touring plans?

We just decide what Park we want to go to and then play it from ear once there and we see what the crowds are like
