Food and Wine Festival -Booths
Not sure how long this has been on Disney Website, but here are the booths that they are listing for the Food and Wine festival. The ones with astericks are TBD. Also, note, I noticed that they only list one food item for each booth, they usually have 2 or 3 food items per booth.
They also assign a city name to each booth. I find it kind of funny that for San Francisco the food item is strawberry shortcake. When I think of San Francisco and food, strawberry shortcake is not the first thing that comes to mind. :) AFRICA Marrakesh, Morocco Bastilla Cape Town, South Africa Bobotie with Mango Chutney LATIN AMERICA Buenos Aires, Argentina Grilled Beef with Chimichurri and Mashed Potatoes Santiago, Chile Spicy Beef Empanadas Mexico City, Mexico Quesadilla con Chorizo ASIA Shanghai, China* New Delhi, India Samosa with Tamarind Sauce Tokyo, Japan* NORTH AMERICA Montreal, Canada Cheddar Cheese Soup New Orleans, United States Crawfish Bisque San Francisco, United States Strawberry Shortcake Boston, Hops & Barley New England Lobster Roll EASTERN EUROPE Krakow, Poland Potato Pierogies with Kielbasa, Caramelized Onions and Sour Cream Istanbul, Turkey Manti with Yogurt Sauce PACIFIC RIM Melbourne, Australia* Wellington, New Zealand Bay Scallops with Baby Greens and Cranberry Vinaigrette CONTINENTAL EUROPE Lyon, France* Munich, Germany Spaetzle with Creamy Mushroom Ragout Athens, Greece Spanakopita Cork, Ireland Irish Cheese Selection with Apple Chutney and Irish Soda Bread Bologna, Italy* Barcelona, Spain Seared Tuna and Grilled Red Pepper Brushetta Reims, Champagne Champagnes and Chocolates International Beers Great Beers and Savory Snacks CARIBBEAN San Juan, Puerto |

Wish I was going during the Food and Wine Festival. We've been there twice during that time, and the food is yummy!

Re: Food and Wine Festival -Booths
The Food and Wine Festival is 26 Sept to 9 Nov.
For you first timers, you almost need two days to sample all or at least a majority of the booths. What I try to do in advance is find out what each booth is offering and then set up a game plan with an idea of pacing myself and also mixing up things, i.e. not only eating meat but including seafood and throwing in a salad and a soup. Also some of the offerings are sandwiches so I don't eat all of the bread, just the feeling. Try to avoid opening weekend, there are usually glitches with the cash registers and even one or two of the food offerings. Plus they press into service cast members that are not used running the registers. However, if you are there for opening weeked but arriving during the week before, you might want to try dropping by on Thursday 25, they sometimes open some of the booths a few days before the official opening. You can try them then, and then hit the rest on the weekend. Overall try to avoid the weekends of the festival. The locals come out then, and it is very popular for the locals and other Floridians who can make a day trip out of it. If you are there when they open up the World Showcase take a boat to the "back" and start there. People tend to start at the booth closest to the front and the lines can get long quick, while the booths in the back of WS are empty. As the day wears on it gets more balanced. If you can't tell I a love the Food and Wine festival. I also hope the have the escargot this year. Recently, I can only think of one year that they didn't have the escargot |
