I did it!!! I ordered tickets for MVMCP for our December trip! We're going on 12/7...I am so excited about this, I heard it is so much fun!! I just have a question for those who have gone...

We will have our DS with us (he will be 2 at the time) and we are just getting to WDW that day. I know the celebration is 7p-12m, just wondering if we should bring our DS with us (I definitely want to do this, although he is usually sleeping at this time!!!

) or should we get someone to come in and watch him while DH and I go??? Hmmmm...:hmmm

I don't have kids, but I work in pediatrics. I would say to find a sitter for him. You want to hold to his routine as much as possible. If he is asleep while you plan on being at MVMCP, then let that baby sleep. The following day should run much smoother if he gets his sleep. JMHO Mickey

I went last yr 12/07/02, both my children boy 7 yrs and girl 2 yrs old loved it!!!!! If you don't mind using up a days admission in addition to your MVMCP admission you can get there say 3 pm and stay all night. We gave our girl a nap at 1 pm and we were ready for the night. Once she was there in the middle of all the excitement there was NO way she was getting sleepy. The next morning we were all dragging. Don't plan anything early the next day. Also, don't miss MGM's Osbourne Family Christmas Party-no charge (no not ozzie's family). :D :D

A family photo is included in the ticket price for the MVMCP. It will be a picture you'll treasure forever. Shouldn't DS be in it? To heck with his "routine" you are at WDW! How many times will that happen in his life?

Take him, he'll have a ball!

I have never been to MVMCP, but I can't imagine leaving my daughter for any part of the trip. It is always a family trip for us & she is definitely part of it. I wouldn't have as much fun if she wasn't there with us. When I go in December 2004, we will be taking her to MVMCP.

I must agree with the majority here. I went in 98 and took my little brother then almost 3. We didn't get to ride a lot of rides with him, but it was our fav park experience. The photos, cookies, shows, parades, extra characters and smaller crowd made it a must do with kiddies. Just make sure you have a comfy stroller for sleeping if needed. You'll be blown away by the extra magic.

LOL!! Sorry but I just read this and got the mental image of Ozzie Osborne's Family Christmas Party!!! Not very Disney, I could just imagine Ozzie dressed as Santa with Mickey right next to him!!!

I would say that definatly bring your little one, the character interaction is worth it!!

OK, so I have decided to take him. I have never left him with a babysitter EVER (except for family), so why start now? Since it will be a travel day and he will be up early, he will want to take a nap in the afternoon...I will try to make it an extra LOOOONG nap, so he will be awake for a while when we go at 7pm. I am very excited, I just received the actual tickets yesterday! Can't wait!

Oh, and Neen...you totally made me laugh about the Ozzy Osbourne thing. Every time I read that name, I think of the EXACT same thing and I always giggle...I thought I was the only one who was that, say, immature??? LOL...(you know I am kidding, right???;) :D

ABSOLUTELY!!! That would be a lot of fun!! Let me know if you make the plans...we are going 12/7 (I think it's a Sunday night). We will be there 12/7-12/10!:D
