I gotta second that!!! I rode it in '78 and it is one of my most vivid memories of that trip. For the life of me I would pine away for that ride far more than any others that have fallen by the wayside.

Does anyone remember the cable cars? I think I remember that they went from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland but the memory circuts aren't what they used to be...clogged with malted hops and assorted troubles of the day I guess

Re: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

I think the reason my DH and I loved Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is because it was a little bizarre and not the usual Disney fare. Agree, it would not be quite as acceptable in today's social climate...alas!

I remember those!!! I loved riding in them. When I was 3 I went on my first trip and my mom said I just wanted to ride them over and over again. I'm sure they were thrilled they spent all this money going to Disney and I rode something I could have ridden anywhere.

I can only say it's one of the few Disney rides that appreciated my profession:

GUILTY!

Thank you, that is all...

I've ridden it lots of time at WDW when I was kid....it was one of my favorite rides (along with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, which incidently is also gone ) I'm not sure why they got rid of Mr. Toad...I always wondered if it was because the ride sent you to h-e-l-l (can you say that on the boards? guess not...had to edit a bit) but since it's still at DL who knows? Pooh is in it's place and I could swear that it uses the same track....but I love Pooh now

Re: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

I remember riding the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea submarine. But, I guess we never rode Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. My dad probably thought it was too wild. lol He was very over protective.

Re: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

I rode Mr. Toad several times. I never really liked it though as it was just not Disney enough for me. It was a like a fair midway ride. I have seen toad in HM cemetery though. I hate for things to change there but I think this was a good change...now, 20,000 Leagues is a different matter....what a great ride that was.

Re: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

I've been to DL over 30 times and finally rode Mr. Toads last year for the first time. It was unique for sure and I did like it. What is the difference between DL pooh and WDW Pooh? I've read a few people's comments of WDW being better???

Hey - I remember the cable cars - except that I forgot they existed until you reminded me. Now I miss them. Darn. And I do miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I thought it was kinda cool. I'm afraid they'll do away with my fave EPCOT ride, Test Track, one day as the new thrill rides get "thrillier".

Re: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

TT is my DH favorite ride. I hope they don't do away with it. Not everyone wants 'thrillier' rides.
