What are the best days for visiting WDW???

Hi!! I'm a new member and look forward to talking with all of you!
Hopefully someone can give me some insight! We are takin our 4yo daughter to WDW the first week of May 2004. Does it really matter what days we visit?? For example..is it best to go Monday-Friday to all of the parks...or, would it matter if we threw in a Saturday & Sunday?? I'm sure it will be busy no matter what..even though that's considered "mid-season"..but, I would really like to better my chances of having the least amount of people when we are there! Hope someone can give me some opinions!

Thanks!!

pjfnme Welcome to DisneyCentral :) we are all happy to have you join us on the best WDW board online.
as for can someone give you some opinions ...lol you maybe sorry you said that *grin* we got lots of those!!!
as to your question .. some days at some parks are busier then others but May is really a nice time to go and crowds are lower.
but normal yes weekends will be busy compared to week days. still you can park hop if one is crowded just go to another :)

Welcome to DC pjfnme...this is a great place to get alot of answers to your questions. I think you'll find the people here right friendly...:p

I just returned from WDW this past May. I can tell you it makes a load of difference from weekday to weekend. You should avoid weekends if at all possible since school is still in at that time. You will find the lines much shorter and manageable.

As for which park on which day... the best day to go to MK is the day after an eride night as most people will be there the night before. EPCOT is pretty much manageable any day as is AK.

If you are not staying onsite, you probably should avoid any park having an early entry day as everyone staying in the resorts will be there. If you are staying onsite, use the early entry, but move to another park as that park fills around 11ish.

These are just my opinions, but they seem to work for me!
Happy planning!

Welcome to DC! You can check www.wdwig.com and it has suggestions on the least busy days for each park. But like mentioned above I would avoid Early Entry parks! We went to a few EE days on our trip in March and those parks were crowded! I would go to the park that EE the day before.

Our last trip was not in May but in March of this year. And there tends to be less of a crowd during the week. Every one of trips have taken place during the week. Don't get me wrong there were crowds but not as bad on the weekends.

I've seen lots of different opinions on which parks are the busiest on any given day. I think the time of year you go is much more important than trying to figure out which park is busiest on what day. The first week in May is a great time to go. Spring Break, a really crowded time, will be over and you'll be there before our wonderful Florida weather turns into a blast furnace.

As for the traditionally busiest days at the parks, here's one take on it:

Magic Kingdom: Monday, Saturday & Sunday
Epcot: Wednesday & Friday
Disney-MGM Studios: Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday
Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday & Friday

Welcome to DisneyCentral, pjfnme!
One plan I always stick with is to be in the Magic Kingdon on a Saturday night, because if they run a Spectromagic parade it's almost gauranteed for a Saturday Night.

When we went to WDW on our honeymoon, we booked a Monday through Friday trip, and we missed Spectromagic!
Just a personal preference though.

Amy:)

Hello and welcome to the best forum around! I would say if it is going to be your first trip or first in a while to purchase one of the guide books. I love the Unofficial Guide book and Birnbaum's is also good. It will answer all questions about what days are best for what parks. It will also tell you about all the rides and restraunts. But, you can get first hand (and the best) information right here!
