WDW 999 Happy Haunts?
This may be to soon to ask, but is anyone at DC intending on trying to attend the WDW 999 Happy Haunts Ball??
WDW has released some DETAILS of the upcoming 999 Happy Haunts Ball on 10/23/03. Three packages are available, starting with a $109.99 GA ticket. The tickets go on sale on Monday, June 16. The tickets are expected to sell out the same day. It sounds like it will be simlar to Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Dinner. Wow, it sounds great but is it worth the money? I will definitely be on the lookout for a first hand trip report early Sept from a DC member.

I wish I could. My DM and I went to the one last year and had a great time. Sure, it probably wasn't as fancy as some of the other pin events, but how many times can you ride Big Thunder, in the dark, 12 times in a row! This one sounds excellent as well.

Spike,
We had a great time last year but, if you are a big Disneyana collector you may be disappointed. DS and I just like Disney so we were thrilled with everything. We heard plenty of complaints from collectors who felt they did not get *enough* for the money. We thought it was well worth it. There was a lecture by an Imagineer about designing the Haunted Mansion, a lovely buffet, a cool dessert, silent auction with one of a kind art, a lottery for other collectibles, and a chance to ride BTM, SM, and HM with only 999 people in the park! They also had a special sailing of the Liberty Belle and a special show in the Diamond Horseshoe. As we left the park we also received "A gift for the dearly departing". If you think you might be interested you should go! I wish we could go again this year...

Thanks, qltingrl for the last years recap. I am not a Disneyana collector but I am intrested in the party/buffet, and the limited availabilty does sound very nice, and different. This past Dec. we went to the first MVMCP of 02, and it was a zoo, I think MK was more crowded for the party than during the day. Anyway it does not look like we will not make the 999 Happy Haunts in 2003, I will have to shoot for 2004, it will give me more time to save up the $219.98.
