We leave for WDW on Father's Day! What a great way to celebrate for Dads (me:D )!

Where can I find out about rides closed for maintenance?

I didnt want to start a new post for this but I thought that it would be ok to ask this here. Sorry

Is the Winnie the Pooh ride open? I heard/read that it was closed for awhile and I didnt think that it was open again and someone that I work with just came back from disney and although they didnt go on it they said when they walked by it looked like it was open only there was no line? Thanks :)

what does it look like? Do they put up construction walls or can you still see the entrance but it is blocked off?

Just thinking about preparing my "furious four" DS. It would be sooo much easier if you can't see any of the attraction at all. If he can see Pooh but can't ride Pooh, ugh, I don't want to think about it.

It's better to be prepared.

When we were there last month, the Pooh ride was closed. It was boarded up with a note about the refurbishment. Your kids will never realize as they pass that this is what they are passing. I just hated it though!

It is very disappointing when you look forward to something for so long and WHAM it is closed. I remember that is how I felt so many years ago on my first trip and the HM was closed. I hope Pooh will be back up for your trip and WELCOME to DC.

I know that COP is spose to be open for the summer .. and since august is considered summer I guess that means we will get to see it!!! last year ( april ) when we were there it wasnt supose to be open but it was for just one day .. we felt so lucky, because we had thought we wouldnt get to. It looks like nothing is going to be closed for August ..yippeee!

Thanks for the help. Im so glad that it will be open while we are there. I loved it so much last year that I put it on one of our first things to do while we are at the MK.

When is COP supp to open Aug I think it was Tink said?
We will be there till the 5th so maybe we'll get lucky. :D

It's a bummer when a ride that you are looking forward to is closed. When we visted Dsineyland the Matterhorn was closed for renovations. I see that you are staying at AKL. We will be staying there in the beginning of July :D Please post how you liked it and if you were upgraded :)

the one and only time I have visited DL the Matterhorn was closed :( I was so disappointed because it was something I was really looking forward to.

as for AKL we stayed there last year .. its really amazing and my DH's favorite resort now

Winnie the pooh was still closed as of June 14th (this past saturday) It's boarded up. As we passed, my son said "I still can't believe they closed our ride mom!!"

COP wasn't open the 3 different days we were at the MK either. I had hoped that w/it being summer time it would be open!

That is a bummer that COP was not open!! That is one of my favorite attractions! Oh, well just means I will have to go back this summer for COP and Winnie the Pooh :)
