Can anybody answer a Malestrom question?

Okay, I have another problem and need a little help (well maybe alot if you ask my family:p ). I am in the stages of planning our next trip and keep coming up with different info about age/ht restrictions. DD will turn 2 on this trip so I understand that many rides are out of the question for her, but I'm not sure about Malestrom. Some times I find that a child must be three to ride and sometimes it is listed as unrestricted. I can't recall any reason as to why this would be unsafe for a 2yr old, but I wasn't a parent on previous trips and that makes a lot of difference as you probably all know. I do recall the ride as being dark and silly-spooky. Trust me this is no problem for my tike, DH has seen to it that she is afraid of nothing. She actually runs to loud noises and loves to watch thunderstorms. So should I try to take her or will she not be allowed to go?

Maelstrom is an absolutely SAFE ride to go on. Everyone can go on it. Do not worry about it.

We took our DS on it when he was 2 and he did fine. In fact it was one of his favorite ride.

we took our granddaughters on it .. starting when the youngest was 6 months .. and every year since so I dont think you need worry.

There are two mild drops like the one you experience in PotC. My son rode at 18 months and 2 years. The Scary is no factor in this ride. To little ones the trolls are more like Giant Toys.

I'll be honest here...

My scared-of-nothing 5-year-old was scared...he didn't look up once... Now, my 15-month-old could have cared less. Her eyes got kind of big when we passed the polar bear, but whenever I sense that my child may be getting a little stressed on a ride, I laugh at whatever is stressing them.

As often said, you never know with kids. The ride was closed when we were there in Aug. so we DGD didn't get to ride. I rode it in Jan. and enjoyed it as usual!

We took our DS when he was 7 months old and he absolutely loved it! He loved every ride he was able to go on! I hope it's the same when we go in August, and he'll be 22 months old!
