Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
Late October is regular season because of the annual PGA golf tournament. The crowd levels in the parks aren't bad at all, probably less than they are during all of September (during free dining). Don't worry. Just go and enjoy. There's a reason that October park closings are some of the earliest of the year, and it's low crowd levels.

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
I am going in the first week of Oct. myself and the only place I intend to stand in line for is a Fiesta Margarita......

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
Good to know, Tea -- thank you!
And I've never boozed around Epcot, so I'm really, really excited over the margaritas, gran marnier slushies, mojitos, oolong slushies, etc. I'm going to be carrying a water bottle with me at all times to keep hydrated. ![]()

There are MARGARITA'S?????!!
![]() I didn't even THINK about Margarita's..... I've only been considering strolling the parks with hubby maybe sipping wine now & then. Getting to run (at 40+something mind you); maybe more of a skip from ride to ride; but never did I imagine drinking margarita's! Wait till I share this with my guy! ![]() Joanie |

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
Even if you can't get the ADR's you want in advance, try walking up and seeing if they have an opening. I was able to score dinner reservations at Crystal Palace on the 4th of July (very busy!!!) just by walking up (1pm) and asking nicely

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
Joanie -- oh yes, margaritas indeed. I've been drooling over pictures of fiesta margaritas, too....where they layer lime, mango, n strawberry up all nice and pretty, but it's mighty tasty as well! You can check out the margarita stand menu on allears.net:
Margarita Stand in Mexico - Epcot I have also heard the grey goose lemon slushie and grand marnier orange slushie are terrifically yummy as well. Here's the menu to that -- it's below, under Specialty Drinks: Les Vins des Chefs de France - Epcot - Kiosk Olé and Bon Appétit!! Tink -- That's what I intend on doing the day of my Chefs ADR; I'm gonna walk over to LeCellier first, and see if there's any opening. If not, I get my French Onion soup...If I get in, well...Cheddar soup, here I come! ![]()

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
We go every Oct. and the crowds are never that bad. Now June and July, that's another story.

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
I went in October 2005 and it was SOOOOOO CROWDED!!!!!!!
It was MUCH more crowded than it was supposed to be, really. Maybe since it was like 90 degrees every day, all the locals came out to hang in the parks, too. I love your plan about drinking around the world.....FUN!!!!! I LOVE the Fiesta Margaritas. And they're not weak, either! I gotta try that Grand Marnier Slushies on France next trip. I am SUPER excited! Now, where can you get a REALLY GOOD Mojito at WDW???

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
hello iluvwdw! i see i have found a fellow boozie. hehehehe
i heard that several lounges and restaurants with full bars will make the mojito. All ears posts a drinkie menu from the Yacht Club, but judging from people's TR's, you can get the drink in almost any nice TS restaurant with a bar. I've seen pictures for both the original mojito and also raspberry mojito (ooooooh preeeettttyyy). I personally had a FABULOUS one at Bongos, but the food was just eeeehhhhh, so I don't know about making a trip there just for that...although you COULD get it to go and just hang out in DTD. I might not be able to make it for next trip, but SOME day, I'd like to get to Kona and have their mythic lapulapu and then a pineapple mojito. DH will hafta wheel me out after probably, but I think it's worth it. as for the crowds... i'm just gonna pretend you didn't just say there were crazy crowds in October *covers ears* lalalalalalalalalala ![]()

(wishful thinking for you )The Raspberry Mojito sounds DELISH!!!!! I actually tasted a Blueberry Mojito and it is now my FAVORITE drink...although no one really makes it. I got it at a restaurant in Atlantic City. Just so you know, you don't HAVE to eat at Kona or 'Ohana to get a Lapu Lapu. There is a lounge right outside of 'Ohana where you can order it. IT IS YUM!!!! Served in a great big pineapple...and it's got some substance to it! ![]()

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
You can get a mojito at Bongos, West Side, $9, at the outside bar.

Re: Freaking Out Over Oct Crowd Levels
Hi Mikey,
I thought it would slower in October, since the Free Dining was for September, but I know Disney just sent out offer PINs for Free Dining in parts of October - December now, so it's going to be hard to predict...
