Best week in May to visit ???

Hello!!!

We're planning a trip to WDW in May 2004. Right now we are planning on going on the 9th (a sunday) and staying for a week. Does anyone have any opinions on how busy this week would be in comparison to say, May 1 thru 9th? We kind of wanted to be there on the 14th..our anniversary...since we spent our honeymoon there..but, hey....I'll change the dates if it means it wont be as busy!!

Can anyone give me some pointers??

Thanks!!!

May use to be our month to go .. and it seemed for us the 3rd week was always the best .. as you get close to Memorial day weekend the parks seemed more crowded and the first part of May can be crowded ..but really any time in may is better then waiting till june when it really starts to get busy

I went the week AFTER Memorial Day weekend last year, and boy, was it CROWDED! Not to mention it was Gay Pride week (or day...something like that) and MK was sooooo crowded that day, I have never experienced crowds like that before!!! We had to leave MK and we went ot MGM and Epcot, which were a bit less crowded...

We just got back last week. We went May 26th (Memorial Day) thru June 2nd. May 26th we had 5 to 10 minute waits on all rides. It stayed that way through June 1st and the only crowded day we had on the last day (6/2). It was a monday and we were in the MK, it was VERY HOT and most waits were 25 to 30 minutes.

Last year we went the first 2 weeks in June and it was so hot and very crowded.

I think any week in May is good, but the earlier you can go, the better.

I definitely think the earlier in May you go the better. Not many schools are out the first part of May but many start getting out around the middle. Go early and have fun!!

The earlier you go in May, the better off you'll be. You'll have missed the crowds at spring break, you'll be there before schools let out and it won't have gotten hot yet, although this year there were a bunch of very hot days in Orlando in early May.

We always go in May or September. Agree the earlier in May the better but it is a great month to go. Weather is good and crowds are down. They also have the Flower and Garden festival at Epcot which is beautiful.

I just was thinking. This past year, Easter was the last week of April. You might want to check this out, just to make sure you won't be visiting anywhere near the Easter Holiday.

personally I would chose May 1st you might not just have less crowds but there is that slim chance that it would also be still a little cooler.
