I am sorry this happened. Wow. But in the big picture, Disney did what I would have expected. They couldn't do anything else in my opinion. I can imagine that they probably did give her that w/c for nothing. What more is there to want from them?

I agree they did the right thing. I am sure if she contacted someone (she must have a contact name & #) they would reimburse her for the scooter she used in the parks.

Other than not paying for the wheelchair I think Disney did what they could. I wouldn't expect a free trip but I would what something and Disney offered that to them.

Couldn't have happenend to my friend Sandi, who sued Kmart for a slip and fall, she would have been out the next day trying to find a lawyer!!!

Me however, I am not so tenacious about getting companies back...

but if I was in that situation...I may be tempted to try ... just for a lifetime membership to disney it would have been worth it to me for the pain

I feel awful that this happened, on their first Disney trip non-the-less but I have to agree that they did a good job making it right. I do happen to think tey should have paid the scooter bill but I don't think I saw you say whether they did or didn't. Anyway, these things happen at every theme park and I think Disney did more than other would. Fast passes and the scooter bill would probably all I would have added as something nice. But as she told you she wasn't making a stink about it, so they probably have to feel these things out.

I am sorry your friend got hurt on Splash, but I agree that Disney sufficiently reimbursed her. It was strictly an unfortunate accident, and thankfully, it sounds like she will be fine.

What surprises me is that it doesn't seem like there were CMs holding the log while people were getting out. If they had 2 CM, one at the front and one at the back, the log wouldn't have moved and maybe all of this wouldn't have happened. Usually Disney is really good at thinking evacuation situations, so I'm surprised that this accident happened at all.

I, like everyone else, think that she should have the scooter paid for + a fast pass for every ride unlimited until she left. They also should have bought them costumes for MNSSHP if they didn't have any with them because they were not planning on going.

eh, costumes for MNSSHP is a little much. I thought the free tickets were generous, considering people purchase those months in advance. Bags of candy might've been nice, though.

Since when is it necessary to wear costumes for that party?

They sort of had a fast pass for every ride, because if she arrives at a ride in a wheelchair, she is automatically let in the back door to access the ride and her family is admitted along side her
