Tinker Bell and friends attraction coming to WDW
Move over, Cinderella, Snow White and Ariel: The Disney Fairies are on their way.
 The Magic Kingdom's newest attraction -- Pixie Hollow -- features Iridessa (from left), Rosetta, Tinker Bell, Silvermist and Fawn. The Disney Fairies are a new set of characters, developed for books, movies, Internet games and merchandise. I haven't decided if I like them yet or not . . . I keep staring at the picture. I AGREE they did good casting!
 I thought this part in the article was interesting: Many think that Disney's lack of any major attractions is odd du e to the fact that Universal Studios is doing such a large scale expansion with the new Harry Potter area of the park being built. Not so, says, John Gerner, a theme-park industry analyst with Leisure Business Advisers of Virginia. "As a strategy, one thing you don't necessarily try to do is expand the same year your competition does. It doesn't tend to serve either player. The fact that Universal is putting in the big Potter area may have Disney saying, 'Let's pause and see what happens, and then we'll follow up.' |

Well... ... This is going to be the new Stitch/Pirate/Princess thing, isn't it?  (waits for the over-merchandising wave of overkill to hit) David still can't quite wrap his head around Tinkerbell talking in the first place, but it's probably not going to hurt anyone and the kids will probably like it, so he really can't complain per se
