I've returned from my recent WDW trip.....and am already to go back again, though it probably won't be for another year or two. (Booooo). Anyway, my wife and I got to try out the new Toy Story Mania ride a handful of times during our trip and we enjoyed it greatly. I was just wondering if anyone had any special tips on it for building up your score. I noticed that it keeps track of daily and monthly high scores and I just couldn't see how anyone could score that high. I think my highest was around 139,000. My wife kept getting anywhere from 150,000 to 175,000......but the posted high scores were around 365,000 or higher. I know the regular Buzz Lightyear ride has special targets that can really jack up your score (I was able to find particular ones that allowed me to get 999,999 at least 3-4 different times during our many rides on it)......but is there anything special to look for on this ride?

I did notice that TSM has some 2,000 and 5,000 point targets, but not many.

There is a web site UltimateOrlando.com that has lots of tips on how to score points. There are hidden things, and if you hit things in a certain sequence, it will open up more and other points.

We just got back the other day, and became addicted to it. We went 3 days (2 of them just to go on TSM).

We're addicted too. My DH is determined to figure out how to get the big points. It is so much fun, although it makes my arm hurt. I can't wait to see any tips provided here.

When you get to Buzz's game, you really need to work as a team in order to really rank up the points. Try to ring ALL of the aliens inside the rocket. If you do, you'll unlock a huge rocket worth a LOT of points.

Get there as soon as the park opens for either regular or EMH AM hours. Grab a fast pass right away and then wait for the ride. this is the only way you are getting two rides out of that attraction without waiting 70minutes +

Thanks Matt, I'll have to try it next time. There is another thing we noticed, when you are throwing darts at the balloons, there are a bunch in a tree. If you pop them all, more will fall from above that are worth more points.

Ah, my sis is a beast at Toy Story Mania and was quite surprised and excited, considering I always beat her at Buzz Lightyear. idk how she scores so high.... I picked up later that she was popping the trigger a lot faster than I was (I had been aiming, then shooting). She also has better accuracy. I might check out those tips, as well.

I still find Toy Story Mania a lot more fun than Buzz, though. It's just so much more fun and interactive.... not to mention adorable!

Who wants to share their highest score? Mine was 174,400 DH had 185,000. We are aiming much higher though.

That's how it was with DH and I. I always won but his accuracy was always higher.

I like the fact no one has control over moving the car. My DH and I have had "discussions" on which way to point the car at Buzz. (I still won anyway)
