Help...Magic Kingdom extra magic hours
My DH (never been to the world), DD8, DS5 months will be going to Disney World 11/21-11/16 and we are soooo excited. Question...I am trying to decide if the EMH at Magic Kingdom on 11/23 are worth it with the kids. I know my DD could keep up, but my DH and DS...dunno?? So, what do you all think? Would you go for EMH at Magic Kingdom on Sunday and or do Animal Kingdon and DTD on Sunday evening? We will go to the Magic Kingdon on Saturday if we scratch Sunday...no hopping, we just have base tickets!

Re: Help...Magic Kingdom extra magic hours
Our usual strategy is to do whichever park has EMH in the morning. (by that, I mean be leaning against the rope when the rope drops). Then leave that park about noon, as it will be the most crowded park the rest of the day. We'll spend a couple of hours at the hotel in the afternoon and then go back later.
We will usually park-hop to a second park for the evening, but you've already indicated that isn't an option.

Clear as MUD!! [/QUOTEWell if DS and DH can't make it you could just send them back to your Disney Resort. They could just hop back on the Bus.

Re: Help...Magic Kingdom extra magic hours
My DD age 4, DS age 9 and DS age 11 along with my Dcousin (not saying her name) did the EMH at MK a few years back and it was wonderful. Crowds were light (we were there in early Feb) and lots of room to stroll and take it easy and go on a few rides and see the sites.
If you are staying on property (or even if you are not), I would suggest you go in at 9am (I think that is when it opens), spend a few hours there, see the sites go on a few rides, have lunch, and then go back to the hotel for a few hours, tap a nap, relax by the pool, etc. Then, head back into the parks for the evening. . .see the fireworks, enjoy the park at night (what a site!) Then, your DS will probably fall asleep and your DH can head back or sit in the park as well. . . it really was pretty relaxing compared to the hustle and bustle of the daytime. **** 24 times to WDW and counting!!!**** |

Re: Help...Magic Kingdom extra magic hours
I've always found evening EMH to be quite busy unless it's raining. My advice would be to stay until everyone is tired and then get up early the next day and make it to rope drop!
