Well as alot of you know, we are planning to surprise our kids with a WDW trip in September and I think I for sure want to give them a bag with WDW stuff once we get to the airport!! I would like to buy autograph books and possibly name tags pens etc.. anymore suggestions?? and WHERE do I get these things at a semi-reasonable price? I looked at giftsofalifetime.com but they only have one autograph book to choose from. Aren't there more choices than One? I thought there was a princess one too!:dazed If anyone has ideas let me know!!!

This is a great idea. Is there a Disney Store near you? I went there 2 weeks ago when they were having a big sale, and got all kinds of things for our trip. I got t-shirts (50%), they have those cute little washclothes with characters on them, that are small squares but when you wet them they become a full size washclothe, which I figure will be fun for bath time for my little one. We also got the stuffed beanies (Mickey, Sully, Minnie, etc), they also had little tins of sour patch candies and red hots, that I got for my older son. They really had some cute little stuff that was on sale, and would have cost a lot more at the parks. That always makes for cute stuff in the bags, they had lots of story books and coloring books also :)

I think that mainstreet mega store is really more pricy than gifts of a life time! I checked out that place, and some things were over $15.00 more that i paid for them!! But you may find some deals. Anywhere you go online, you'll be paying a "shopping fee". They go to WDW and buy the items for you.

As far as I know, there is only ONE type/style/color of autograph books available...you could make one up yourself...get really creative!!! I have looked for other kinds...but every year they are all the same!

I have always used small photo albums for autograph books. I take a picture of the child with the character and when I get it developed, I slide it in and its an autographed picture for my child.

On our last trip I had the following for my kids:

• Disney PJs from Disney.com $9.99
• Portable fan from Dollar Store $1.00
• Finding Nemo tiny flashlights from Wal-Mart $2.97
• Glow-in-the-dark necklaces $1.00 for 6 at Dollar Tree
• Disney racers $2.97 for two at Toys R Us for boys, My First Princess figurine for $3.97 at Target for girl
• Disney Beanies for $2.50 from Disney Outlet Store
• Small photo albums for $2.00 from Wal-Mart
• Disney stickers for $1.00 from Dollar Store (to decorate photo album)
• Pin Lanyard & pins (see DisneyAnne's WDW Adventure for more info)
• Disney Fruit Snacks (You can find these at any grocer)

I like Neen's idea of the washcloths. Unfortunately, we no longer have a DS in our city - Columbia, SC. :cry:

How about those spinning glow in the dark things with Mickey, Buzz, Sleeping Beauty, etc? They are great (for kids, somewhat annoying for adults...but lets face it, it's all about the kids, right?)at all of the night-time festivities and cost a whole lot more at WDW than at the Disney Store!!!

These are great ideas Anne! I want to pack a "departure" bag for my two older children to keep them occupied on the plane. Thanks for the tips!

Okay, I was going to try not to do it but.......I am going to put together some kind of surprise for my DS for our trip.

So far I have:
a mini (and I mean mini) buzz light up fan
a glow necklace for a late parade
an autograph book (I just ordered on line)
Disney Dollars

What else can I add??

I need to make a quick trip to the Disney Store to get a couple of little washclothes and some other little gifts. My DS has 3 or 4 of the light chasers so that is out, he doesn't need another one. Beanies don't thrill him. What else can I add?

We are driving to WDW so space really isn't a problem but what can I put all of this in??? What is a good reusable way to present all of this?? Can you tell I am not all that creative???
