How does MNSSHP work?

We have gotten our tickets for MNSSHP. How does entry into the party work?

If we go into the park before regular closing time do we show them the MNSSHP ticket and our UPH and then stay in the park at closing or will we have to exit and re-enter at 7:00pm?

Can we leave MNSSHP if necessary and get our hand stamped to renter the party?

Will they take away our MNSSHP ticket? I want to keep them as they are too cute with the characters on them.

Thanks!

Actually, I had questions about this too. We are going to the October 3 one. About to buy my tickets.

How much do people get dressed up? Is it an all-out kind of costume thing? Parents dress up too?

What kinds of costumes do you see? Is it mostly Disney costumes on the kids?

Are all the rides open or just a few?

Do they pass out Disney trinkets or is it regular candy?

Thanks in advance for the help!

They completely close MK at 6:00 before the MNSSHP begins. They decorate the park and set up the trick-or-treat stations during this time so guests are not allowed to stay. At 7:00 guests can enter and you put your ticket through the scanner just like you would your park hopper pass. You can keep the ticket. Yes, you can leave during the party and get your hand stamped for re-entry. As far as costurmes go, most of the kids are dressed up and a lot of parents too. We saw mostly Disney costumes but there were plenty of others too. I guess there were more adults in regular clothes than in costumes although you'd fit right in if dressed in costume. You get a plastic bag with a few pieces of candy upon entry as well as a trick or treat guide and a list of what rides are open. They only passed out candy at the trick or treat stations. All the major rides/attractions were open. Things like Tom Sawyers Island, Tiki Room, River Boat, Rail Road & Hall of Presidents were closed. I can't think of what else was closed maybe others could help with that. There is also a photo opp. where you can have a free professional 5X7 photo taken and mailed to your home.

Not sure what this is, but since we are going in Oct., what is it and how much does it cost to do it?

If you are already in the park you do not have to leave. Around
2 pm go to town hall and get your wrist band this will allow you to stay straight through. As people leave the park starting at
5 pm you can go on many rides with little or no line. I suggest getting your comp. photo first thing before the crowds start pouring in.:D :D

Our ages 10+ tickets were $31.90 w/tax each and our ages 3-9 were 26.58w/tax each plus $3 shipping and handling.

The paper that came with the tickets had a few guidlines for the costumes such as: do not have costumes that obstruct the guests view, affect their ability to get on/off rides and transportation, drag on the ground, contain sharp or pointd objects that could hurt another guest, are offensive to other guests, or have pieces tha resemeble weapons.

Check out this web page with info about MNSSHP, http://wdwig.com/mnssh.htm

It took me awhile to justify spending the extra money, as we are going to have ultimate park hopper tickets for our week. But, my DH actually said to "just do it, it sounds like fun" and he was the one that came up with the idea for the costumes for our three sons!

Hmm, maybe there is hope yet for my non-Disney loving DH.

Can anyone reconfirm this about not having to leave? I ask because we are going and were about to make Chef Mickey dinner plans beforehand since I thought we could not get into the park for the party earlier than 7:00PM.:dazed

If I can have the park all to myself ( and a few thousand close friends) from 6:00 to 7:00, I am not leaving!
