Wow how exciting to be you, Rowdy! Do you know what you are going to do each day or do you get assigned daily? I can't wait to watch this parade when we go down in June!

I'm scheduled to help Beast in it on Tuesday. So that's a relief. Right after my rehearsals for Street Party aka MISICI (We at work are starting to pronounce it My-Sigh-Chi)

I know my schedule for two weeks at a time. Unfortunately due to the number of roles I know, it's always subject to change without notice. Case in point: I was at DAK today helping Baloo and was pulled to DHS so I could help Sulley in Block Party. So guess I never really know what's gonna happen til it does

Re: Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade

I need to correct myself. The first show stop takes place from Pecos Bill all the way to Hall of Presidents instead of Diamond Horseshoe.

Absolutely. A Disney year is much longer than a normal year, like 15 months I believe. Therefore What Will You Celebrate will no doubtedly still be going on by this time next year. I expect this version of the parade to run 2 years.

Re: Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade

Rowdy, just a curious question.

Are there still updates goin on with the parade? On a Youtube video of the parade there were loads of people moaning about thing like - "No characters walking, dancers wearing the same costume throughout ect." And one comment said that this was a quickly placed together parade and that updates were still happening
If anyone knew of anything along the lines I knew it would be you!

Yeah, I read a complaint on disboards about the parade looking cheap - a lot of characters reused, all on floats, and being "decorated with a few Mickey balloons to fit the theme."

Re: Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade

Yeah, I love the parade. It has alot of potential!
I just wish somethings were different, the characters don't even have to be walking, it would just be cool if they came off the float for the show stop.

Re: Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade

I have to admit it is a shame that WDW did not receive Parade Of Dreams instead of the parade not being used at all now. It was such an awesome parade and would have loved to have seen it at WDW. They could have changed the show stop to "Celebrate You" which I heard was originally made for Parade Of Dreams in the first place.

Perhaps Parade Of Dreams was planned for WDW this year but something went wrong and they were forced to reuse the Disney Dreams Come True Parade floats again? And maybe Parade Of Dreams will still come to WDW in the future, but it just did not make it in time for this year? Time will tell I suppose.

I've heard this too. Right now it's like all mixed reviews from the guests. And it's true MissMagic it's all the same floats with only 2 of them having any major decorations. There are only 15 characters in the entire parade, and they're all riding, and we're not allowed to come down.

That is a bummer for a lot of people. Guess more people want that interaction and miss that interaction in a parade than I thought.

But to answer your question my Scottish friend it is, indeed, a work in progress still. We're not quite done. When the BIG bigwigs of the company are pushing for something NOW NOW NOW we give them the best we can at short notice. I definitely think that the characters who can come down off the floats will eventually do so just to help a little more. There will probably be changes soon if enough guests start to complain, just like they're already planning to fix the Fantasmic! problem of only 2 nights a week.

I like this new parade. It's a pure Disney parade, but there are many more directions we can take this to make it even better.

Re: Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade

I too love this parade, it looks great. Like you said, with just little changes it could become better.
