:D I didn't know there was a barber shop on Main Street....

This is awesome, I definitely need to get me a haircut... If the wait is that long though, the rest of my crew will probably drop me off and then come back :laugh

Oddly, it's the extremely special things like this that we go to WDW for... :hmmm ;) Well, I'm sure you didn't mean for it to sound like the hair cut isn't an awesome experience, but here lately the rides are secondary to us. We went one afternoon to Magic Kingdom and just did Character Autographs, ate snacks, watched the night parade and the fireworks and had one of the best times ever in our opinion.:D

Sorry, WDWspider... I didn't mean to make it sound like you were wasting your time. I'm sure it was a memorable experience for all of you. It was wasting our time, because my hubby could have cared less where he got his hair cut. He just wanted it CUT! :laugh We had waited for a considerable amount of time in our book which was time wasted and wanted to get onto the rides. We don't go to WDW more than once a year and only then for a couple of days. You can see why our time was precious...and hubby getting a haircut was not adding to our trip memories! Had it been one of our kids, it would have been worth it. It is just a difference in what is important to different people. No biggie...sorry for the confusion. I would never have slighted Itsy Bitsy wdwspider's experience :D

We hd both ar DS's first haircuts there. DO IT!! Since they relocated the shop to the very front by the firehouse, the crowds seem to be very thin there. By the way, also an excellent place to watch parades, the parades exit right at the location, and the characters are very interactive there.
The two "cutters" are excellent...Michael has been there for years and years! He even only charged my little DS only $5.00 for his first haircut (there was so little) and he got his certificate and mickey "first haircut" hat

They even have "glow in the dark" gel for the older kids for the black light rides like HM and PP.
Definatley Disney Memories!!!

You know, I would never have thought of the Barber Shop much before hearing the great things from the DC crew.

I may just go in for a touch-up, but I really want some of that glow-in-the-dark gel.

I'm so glad to here it's good. We had DS done 9 years ago (first trip) and it was not so good! That could have been because he has 5 cowlicks and they all decided to stick out in different directions after the cut!:nooo: DS didn't care, he was 7 and had just gotten his haircut on Main Street!! Hmm, maybe we should try again.

Hi Kim!
We have had both our DSs 1st haircuts done by Michal at the WDW barbershop!! They received their ears and certificates! Michal is great with the kids. He really enjoys what he does!! It is very reasonable too. We only paid 10.00 for the haircut and everything that comes with it! The ears cost 5 or 6.
We had a great experience both times! Its a cherished memory!!
Dawn:)

No confusion. ;) I just meant that to us the rides are secondary to all the experiences at WDW. We only go like once every two to five years though.
