I've got two Park Hopper Plus tickets in front of me and the only identification on both of them is "GUEST".
Who is "GUEST" and who isn't "GUEST" and how do you prove it?

Re: Cheater Question- No Expire Ticket

I suppose the Jiminy Cricket thing is the best post in the thread (although SG, your Bill Clinton post was both educational and hilarious!!! Nice touch!).

This, like many other Disney issues including reusable mugs, will almost certainly cast a divide in members and their opinions. I stand by my position. Do I agree with the rules? No. But do I abide by them? Yes, and I try to encourage others to do the same.

Re: Cheater Question- No Expire Ticket

I've got more reusable mugs than I've ever used!
I've got so many that I even gave pairs for Christmas presents!
(We did the deluxe dining plan 4 times last year and got fresh mugs every time)
But I don't drink soda and bring my own home brewed ice tea from home. I even bring my own ground coffee from home. I'm not a snob, I just like what I like.
I do freely help myself to half and half and sugar from the hotel's CS service area, but I'd do that even if I were using the in room coffee service because they don't give you enough sugar or creamer to start with.

I was worried about the storm that might have set off. That's why I gingerly addressed it.

You're talking about proof. I'm not asking about avoiding getting caught.

I'm simply, and respectfully, asking how you don't see it as bending the rules or gaming the system when you transfer something that you know is yours. Again, I'm not talking enforcement ... I'm talking about what's going on between your ears ... you said you don't perceive it as bending the rules or gaming the system, and I truly want to know how one comes to that conclusion in the face of black-and-white rules to the contrary.

Thank you for engaging me in this civil and hopefully educational question-and-answer!

Thanks! :)

Believe me it took everything I had within me to stay out of the political conversation, I have strong convictions that may have continued a debate unnecessarily. But I can debate elsewhere, I come here for the Disney common love. Moral issues are very important to me as well, but I thought Jiminy said it well. ;) A conscience is a God given radar written on hearts.

I just can't wait to get my own season passes when I make my move to California. I would have wrather moved toward WDW, but I will take Disneyland. :)

Re: Cheater Question- No Expire Ticket

I am guest. You are guest. The ticket says it belongs to guest.
If you and I are both guest, then it is not being transferred, is it?
Further, what is being transferred? Ownership or possession?
What does Disney mean exactly when they say that the ticket is non-transferable?
For that matter, how do we determine, based upon Disney markings, which is my wife's and which is mine?
Our APs are 100% clearly marked, these park hoppers are 100% ambiguously marked.

I think we're probably at the point where we agree to disagree.

Re: Cheater Question- No Expire Ticket

I personally don't see an issue with your inlaws using the tickets for that one day. you bought them..you should give them to who you want to. Selling them would be wrong in my opinion, but giving them to you inlaws to save them money is no a big deal in my opinion. I don't really consider it cheating..you paid for them. That finger thing is hit or miss anyway. Me and my DD switched up passes multiple times on this trip and were never stopped at the gate...we got green-lighted using each other's passes.

Tickets purchased together and initially "tagged" together are linked to each other (this was covered by an earlier post) and can basically be used interchangably.

I guessed I picked the wrong smilie ... didn't know it was a "huh" message.

You're an Ian Hunter fan? Cleveland rocked long before he wrote that song.

Sorry to repeat...I didn't see that post. Thanks for pointing that out for me.
What's the point in the finger scan then?? how do they know that the mother in law wasn't there at the time?? I can't see their system being that advanced...yeah use the tickets. you bought them and who cares what you do with it. If it was a mug, it would be a whole different debat for me.

Nah, even those of us who want to argue will stand up and haul it back into line and keep it civil.
