I'm guessing it didn't draw any crowds. Do a YouTube search and you can get an idea of what it was.

Hopefully they can regroup and figure out something else. Just a heads up.

I saw the show on You Tube and wasn't really looking forward to seeing it in person. Not sad to see it go but I hope all the cast get placed elsewhere within Disney

Re: Sorry Guys. Stitch's Show is Closing!

I think it would be more "futuristic" if it were enclosed in a dark theater.

Is this the Galaxy Theater where they put on the Night Before Christmas in Nov/Dec? Actually... it looks more like the Tomorrowland stage. People are standing up. Is it the Tomorrowland stage?

On the bright side, it looks like they can reuse the theater.

(What's funny is that on the video I'm watching, a bunch of people have gotten up to leave after the first number!)

I mentally chuckled when they put the lady's picture up on a 'wanted' sign, though.

Yeah... the dancing is boring, and I don't care for the Galaxy Girls' outfits. They needed to find male dancers who could "tick" - it's a very futuristic, almost unnatural form of dance.

Here's an example: YouTube - Best Dance Crew

[watching You Tube video]

Wow, that's pretty bad. Yeah, I am NOT going to try to catch that show before it closes.

'Gadget & Gizmo' pop-locking robots that get stuck? Aye.

Holy cow. I'm bummed I didn't get to experience it! Can they really tell if an attraction will be successful in the first 2 months?! Wow. Well, onward and upward I suppose. I hope it's not still empty come the fall.

I had this same thought myself when I've viewed the show. There is no shade at all and there were no evening shows. I saw alot of guests sitting under the TTA far back from the stage because it was shaded there. If I were a parent I wouldn't have wanted my children sitting there either.

Re: Sorry Guys. Stitch's Show is Closing!

This show did not work on a lot of levels. It lacked story line and didn't really make sense. It wasn't approriate for Magic Kingdom. One of the dance numbers is "These boots are made for walking" and I felt like it was too sexual. The songs felt dated and out of place in MK. My co-worker who is Japanese felt is was offensive to Japanese guests. The show starts dragging between songs. The skirts of the dancers were way too short. The stage has no shade for guests and it is brutal hot in front of it. It reminded me of a really bad Vegas casino act.

What is sad is that I felt like this show has a lot of potential. The technology is great. It just needs to be used in a way that is entertaining.

The Galaxy Palace theater has been demolished and there is now a backstage parking area in it's place.

hehe, tell us how you really think! I love that honest review! I watched it on YouTube so I didn't get the full experience but I agree about the music, I was like "huh?" Just was weird & out of place. I am just curious, what did your friend find offensive to Japanese guests?

You hit it on the nail though, it reminded me of a cheap, easy, & cheesy Vegas show.

Thank you!!! I don't know how I missed this post on my first trip through this thread.

When Stitch first came out, we took a couple of trips to the parks, and it was totally immersed in Stitch love. The movie was only so-so for me. Maybe not even that. I didn't find anything cute or amusing about Stitch, and I was stunned to see Stitch everywhere and on everything. The whole thing smacked of "trying too hard."

And one issue I really have is PIN SETS -- There all of a sudden were a gazillion pin sets that have classic characters... and Stitch!

Hello? Stitch is NOT in the same class as classic characters. It's a bummer because I have several sets now that are incomplete -- I refuse to buy that fifth pin because I refuse to buy Stitch stuff. It's my personal boycott.

Re: Sorry Guys. Stitch's Show is Closing!

My kids are not into Stitch at all and I REALLY don't like him, so no love-loss for us! We probably would have just passed right by this show anyway.

Re: Sorry Guys. Stitch's Show is Closing!

I love Stitch.

That being said, they need the space for the Boss Mouse Review.
A totally new act still in the conceptual stages. Fire works, monkeys on mopeds and the Lawrence Welk band will all be incorporated.

One of the songs performed is Mr. Roboto. My friend was not familiar with the song and she is asked me if it was making fun of Japanese people. I tried to explain the song to her. In Japan Stitch is very popular so she wondered if it was making fun of them.

I've seen the show four times and each time it felt like something I should be watching out of the corner of my eye while doing nickel slots. Not something I would be enjoying at Walt Disney World.

I normally don't like to voice my opinion of something Disney if it is not positive. I think the concept of celebrating "Galaxy day" is a good one. I'd like to see more of mix of characters like Meet the Robinsons, Atlantis, Stitch (characters that fit in Tommorowland) etc celebrating together.

On a side note a really close friend of mine was one the animators that worked on the original movie. Stitch was his favorite character to animate. I got to see the production of the movie in 2000 long before the public did. While the film was in production he was courting my best friend and was released around the same time as their wedding. So the movie and the character remind me of my dear friends.
