When we were there we were in the area when this show started a couple of times. The crowds were never really too big to begin with (50ish), but with Space Mountain closed the crowds in Tomorrow Land were down for everything (even Buzz Lightyear) relative to the rest of the park. The show would start, and almost immediately people would start wandering off. By the end, if there were 15 people still watching (not passing by and pausing for a second, but sitting or standing there watching) I'd be suprised.
It wasn't a very good show, it is in a kind of bad spot (with Space Mountain closed) that doesn't have much foot traffic right now, and it was in the sun with little or no shade in the area. If Space Mountain was open and folks were in the area waiting for their FP time, it might have drawn better. But that would have only fixed one of the three problems. |

I was wondering how long it was going to last...
Forgive my opinions if they're too harsh... I'm all for cheesy Disney shows but this one didn't even feel Disney-like to me. It seemed like they put so much energy into building the stage and then said, "Oh yeah.... we need a show..... umm, just find some really cliche 60s costumes for the girls and some hip hop robot costumes for the guys and play the first 10 songs that come up on your ipod... oh, and put some breakdancing in there too." Much love to the performers, they were really smiley and full of energy when I saw them... but it seemed like they just didn't have much to work with. Hopefully they put a little more thought into the show that takes its place.

I'm sad Disney wasted money building the set and prepping the show...but I can't say I'm sad to miss it. Stitch is cute, but he's already got his own ride. Nothing more than that is necesary, imo...

Disney really needs to stop using Stitch in the theme parks. We already have SGE and that is more than enough for me. The stitch show has a pretty narrow appeal, but they really could do something with that new show building. I'd love to see them come up with a brand new concept for a show, but knowing how things go, they'll probably manage to bring Stitch back into the mix.

Guys I know a lot of you are very resentful of Stitch, but the fact of the matter is, Stitch is an EXTREMELY popular character here. He's ALWAYS in demand for meet and greets. The show was very flawed yes, but it's not because of Stitch. There's a whole other mix to throw in and a lot of finger pointing why the show failed. So don't be surprised if Stitch continues to make appearances elsewhere in the future.

We actually just seen this show last week. My DD got to talk to Stitch. It was a cute show, but not something I would make a point to see. Sorry to hear its closing....
How about if they move it to Downtown Disney?? Space Mtn is the big crowd getter in Tomorrowland. Rowdy, what's up with all the refurb going on the MK, what are they doing w/ IASW??

They are just refurbishing the outside Que area of the attraction. It's still open. Everything needs some TLC sometimes.
