Re: Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom

Sounds interesting and it is nice that they are trying to use that area for something fun. It does sound like quite a bit of money for an hour and a half of desserts and soda.

We have so many expensive extras planned this next trip in August that I am sure we will pass.

Re: Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom

I'll be calling on Monday We ABSOLUTELY love the priority seating & dessert party for Fantasmic in Disneyland (which is like double this price by the way), so I am excited to try this.

Yes, we did it in Disneyland for Fantasmic (twice) and love it. It's a little different there 'cause the Rivers of America gets SOOO packed so it's nice to have this little VIP area with comfy seats & servers bringing you dessert & drinks. This sounds slightly less posh but I am going to try it!

So you REALLY think it's worth it? Wonder if I should give it a try this trip too. Bel will be 10 in November . . . so if I can do it while she's still a "kid" price it might be better.

I know I don't have a big family or kids so the cost for us isn't big but to me a dessert buffet & seating area for Wishes is worth $17. for me. I'll try anything in WDW at least once.

Sounds like fun! I would do that just to get preferred fireworks viewing. But unfortunately, I will not be at WDW at that time.

Right that is my feeling too . . . I hate when there are new things that pass me by! Like the Stitch Show . . . even though it wasn't very good, I still would have liked to have seen it AT LEAST once.

Re: Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom

Oh for Pete's sake. They are even trying to cash in on good viewing spots for the fireworks? This stinks!

If this works out for them, you know they'll be roping off good parade viewing spots too.

Actually, Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace has one of the better views with very little tree obstruction overall. And Tink does fly right over your head here.

However, I've got mixed feelings about this dessert party. It sounds interesting, but....
Previously, Noodle Terrace was an area open to the public and as I noted, has very good viewing angles. Is this a pilot program or is this something Disney wants to implement permanently? If they do it more permanently, will they only do this on certain nights or will they do it every night? What about during hard ticket events? They used to give out cookies during the PPP and Christmas parties at the Noodle Terrace. Plus, I haven't seen the menu to decide if it's even worth $18 a person.

Re: Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom

But how would it work as far as seating? What the % of good viewing seats? Isn't most of the restaurant undercover. As far as the price, not knowing what they are having, but at most restaurant coffee and dessert is about 8-10 bucks. So maybe stuffing yourself silly would be worth the 20 something cost. But I agree, I don't think I'd do this with a family, just my DH and I.

I'll be interested to read reviews about this. I'm not sure about the price though. I'll miss it in Sept anyway.

Re: Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom

Not sure how I feel about this yet. I do know I did an Illuminations Dessert Party at Epcot and absolutely LOVED it!!!!! We had such a great, unobstructed view and the desserts, coffees/teas, sodas, juices were GREAT!!! My friend is planning her Disney Dream Wedding for 2010 and I've talked her into having a Dessert Party for her guests.

I would love to see what they are offering for dessert and what kind of beverages they are offering.
