Calling the parks

Is it possible to call a park to find out if it has reached capacity and closed?

Are there individual phone numbers for the parks? Do you get to talk to a CM or if it was just a recording?

I was just thinking it would be nice to be able to phone ahead and see if it was open before making the trek via buses, monorails etc, and avoiding the disappointed kids at the gate.

Thanks

It's pretty rare that a park closes unless there is a special event going on such as the 4th of July.:)

And even on this July 4th, they didn't close the parks to resort guests. We were able to get back in around 600pm with no problem.

(I don't know about calling the parks, though, sorry I couldn't help you out there!;) )

You'd have to call Guest Relations at the parks. Not sure if the resort operator would transfer you though. They don't like to give those numbers out.

The only days you need be really concerned are the 4th of July and New Year's Eve Day. And on those days, the operator would know the park status. It was pretty well known throughout the property when the parks closed to more guests.
