improved Tower of Terror?

I read about the new tactile effects & extra computerized drop sequences for the TOT in the "Mickey Monthly" a few months ago...has anyone been on it and noticed/not noticed a difference? Just wonderin'. It's my fave ride and I'm totally looking forward to riding it again and again this September! I just wanted to know if anyone had truly noticed the differences...

We rode TofT twice in a row in June. There was definitly a difference in both rides. There was a different number of "short" and "long" drops and a difference in "air" time. Really cool because you don't know what's coming next. Also the seat belt allow you to leave the seat more during the "short" drops.

We did not notice any differences in the preshow and first two floors.

All seats in all elevators now use seatbelt restraints instead of the lap bar.

Each time you ride it could be a little different. It is fun to try and figure out the differences each time. The ups and downs each ride are not the same. It is exhilirating every time!

Wow, this is so exciting!! :D I'm glad to hear that the differences are noticeable! After you ride it as many times as we do, it tends to get just a teensy predictable, hehe. ;) I'm excited to get a taste of something new!

I'm also really glad to hear that they're using seatbelts now. It was SO frustrating when you'd get a CM who would shove the lap bar down into your bladder...makes the ride quite uncomfortable! I know the CMs have to be really serious about safety...but it seemed like there was RARELY a time when they'd leave us room to breathe!! ;pinch:

The new drop program known as "Tower 4" has the ability to randomly select one of four drop patterns. I found a description of those patterns somewhere, but I don't remember where.

It may have been http://www.tower-of-terror.com

For other, not so current, info about ToT visit the site I have linked in my profile.

I went last May and I noticed a difference then! Has it improved any more since? When I went I noticed that there were MANY more drops and we absolutely LOVED it!!! :D
