carosel of progress....

I was wondering if anyone knows if the carosel of progress will be opened in november. I love that ride and I really want my boyfriend to see it. I read somewhere that it is seasonal ride. I know it was opened in march when I was there before. But I have never gone in winter before. I really hope so....

WELCOME, krforever2003! You will absolutely LOVE DC. You will find the best Disney info from the best people!

Anyway, I do know that COP is seasonal, but I am not sure of the actual dates. I am sure someone else will know for sure. Chances are, your boyfriend won't be able to see it in November...but I could be wrong!!! :nervous

Welcome to DC krforever2003!
I do know that the COP is seasonal
I don't think that you would be able to see it if you are going in November!
:nooo:
But If it is in Early November you may have a better chance because it is closer to the fall. I went from Oct 31-Nov. 4 last year and it wasn't open but I'm not sure!

Welcome to DC! It is a fun place to hang out. I really don't think COP will be open in Nov. Hope it is though. If you want your boyfriend to hear and see a little bit about it check out this web site.
Check out It is fun and brings back good times and memories! It has my favorite song from COP and music from all over DW!

krforever2003, welcome to DisneyCentral .. its funny because right this minute I am watching a video tape from our 1994 trip to WDW, that I am transfering over to a Vidio Disk and its at the COP part. It takes so long doing this ..but tapes wear out so quick. VCD's last much longer.

I heard rumors that this may close???
This was one of Walt favorite attraction. When I was young I did not appreciate it, but love it now and take my children on it.
Hopefully it will find a corporate name to put on it.

I am with you 100 percent MrDisneyfan1, I love this attraction. We were very lucky last year when we went in April because it was open one day while we were there .. it wasnt supose to be but that was a day that MK was very crowded and we were surprised to find it open. this year it is due to be open while we are there in august and I am gonna go again and again. I am so glad that I have the entire thing on several video tapes .. just as I have all of Horizions and WOM on tape.

I only have bits of Horizons on tape...I never capture the whole thing. That is and will always be my most favorite.

I thought that this was totally closed. I loved this also when I was a child and can remember my mother singing the song as we were walking around MK. Does anyone know if its open during certain days in the summer or is it open everyday?

I maybe going to MK and MGM this saturday, mainly to see COP and one mans dream. Do you think COP is still open now? I know it wasn't even open yet in June when we went. Can I video tape this? I would love to get it on video. That would be the only reason I would bring a camcorder into the parks. Thanks!!

I use to alway video tape it goofygal1975 but I do remember last year along with "no flash photography" they included no video taping. so I just pulled out my digital and took pictures with out a flash and they still came out pretty good :) gonna try that again this year too with my new digital video / camera.

I read it was goiong to be open during the summer months.

We saw COP for the first time in 2001. I didn't even know what it was. (We were not Disney-know-it-alls back then) We just walked up to it after riding Buzzlightyear. We were the only people in our theater. We were really lucky to see it. Now I know what people mean when they talk about potentially loosing a great ride. I also know what people mean by "A great big beautiful tomorrow".;)
