Well according to the Disney site Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is "open seasonally".
I suppose that's a good thing. At least it is not being torn apart. But does anyone know exactly when is it open? I missed it on my last trip :( . I just love that ride. It's a Walt Origanal, it's air conditioned, it has some entertainment value, it's the perfect break. Just as a side note - I can remember the theme song, "now is the time", it is what I rememberd the most from Disney during my first visit back in '91(I think). I annoyed my parents with it the whole 24 hour ride back home. :D

Carousel of Progress
I would assume that you will see Carousel of Progress open about the same schedule as Timekeeper. During busy seasons. If for some reason Disney can find another sponsor for the attraction, which at this poins seems highly unlikely, they will open it back up. But I would put my money on it being moved or removed to make way for an additional e-ticket ride in tomorrowland. As you may know, the Disneyland Carousel of Progress was shut down a couple of years ago and reborn as an innoventions type attraction.

Yep, I was right, for once!
You heard it here first, Carousel of Progress will re-open for Christmas.

Maybe management will see that it is a beloved ride and worth keeping. This could be the last chance to enjoy Carousel of Progress. |
