Suggestions for a "date night" at WDW

We are going with disneymom and family and we decided to do a child swap!! One night we will keep her kids and they can go on their own and one night theyll take ours, so we can do some things alone too!!! We both thought this would be fun but I need some suggestions on what we should do!! Does anyone have any MUST DO without kids suggestions?:)

Victoria and Alberts!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to have a really great (Albeit exspensive) dinner for two, I would highly recommend V&A's. My DW and I went last year for our anniversary (Hey exactly one year ago a today!) and it was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a dress code but we had a ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

There are many many places for a date night. The Mexico pyramid in Epcot has a great date type of restaurant. Also, Ohanna's is terrific for a date night. You can call for reservations when you get to WDW, Ohanna's is large enough to accomodate most reservation requests. After dinner, stroll along the beach outside Ohannas and watch the MK fireworks (if they're being shot that night). Fireworks music is piped in. You can top it off with a midnight swim in the pool. No life guards that late, but you can have the swimming pool to yourselves.

Sounds like my kind of date night!

My two suggestions would be as follows, in order of preferrence:

1. Jiko in the AKL. Great restaurants, very intimate and beautiful. Then, take some time to walk around the resort, see the animals, etc.

2. Flying Fish on the Boardwalk. While this restaurant is loud, it is fun, and has great food. Then, there are many, many things to do on the Boardwalk. Our plan is usually to eat dinner, hop over to EPCOT for a couple of rides and then Illuminations, and then back to the Boardwalk for some ice cream and a stroll. There is also Jelly Rolls, Atlantic Dance, bikes to ride, entertainment and great sites. You can also walk around the lake, over to the Beach/Yacht club. It really is a beautiful area.

I agree with Arielbelle and crystarp,
Why not a dinner at one of the DD restaurants, like Fulton's, then try a few clubs at PI...we loved the Comedy Warehouse.
HAVE FUN, sounds like a great plan you and disneymom have!

i recommend jellyrolls. you'll have so much fun there. the dueling pianos are very talented and you'll have a blast. umm... let's see...what else... give me a minute....umm... if you like parties, you can try pleasure island. you can go club hopping. if that's your scene. ooh, the california grille is a great place for a romantic dinner. try to get seated at the front of the hotel. it'll face the lagoon, the grand floridian, and most of all, cinderella castle!!

umm.... i can't think of anything else right now. but, those are a few suggestions that i have for a date night. have fun! :p

I love your idea!

Our favorite 'date night' is the Wilderness Lodge. Dh and I were married at WL a few years ago...and always make a point to have a very nice dinner at Artist Point. The Wilderness is so romantic at night...be sure to ask for a table next to the window. You will be treated to beautiful views of a cascading waterfall and Bay Lake. After dinner, find one of the hidden fireplaces (there are two) and snuggle up by the fire.

Happy planning!

OK, I haven't been to many of the upscale restaurants at the resorts, but I do have to say that I LOVE Fulton's in DTD for Date Night! Then you can walk right on over to PI and Dance the night away... If you are looking for something more romantic and relaxed, I DEFINITELY think the San Angel Inn in the Mexico Pavillion at Epcot is VERY romantic! And the margaritas are amazing! Then, what about a nice walk on the boardwalk? ;)
