Fast Pass

Ok I am just a little confused on this fast pass, do everyone in your party have to slide their park pass thru to get a fast pass or can you do one for the whole party???:dazed &

For some reason I just don't get it!?!?!?!? I feel that the answer is everyone in the party has to get there own because everyone in the party can go around to all the fast pass rides and get a fast pass for the entire group and we wouldn't have to wait in line forever, ok I am just having a wishful moment!! would somebody explain to me pleeeease!? Thank you in advance!!!!

So does that mean I can do one, DH can do another, DS another, DD another my mom another, etc etc. all at the same time? that is the part I am not understanding, if we all do that we could be done with 1 park in the morning (ok not really!) do I make sense?

The great thing about fastpass is that you can use someone else's pass in your group for yourself. For instance, when I was pregnant, I couldn't ride the roller coasters, so my husband would use his pass to fastpass TOT and my pass to fastpass Rockin' Roller Coaster at the same time. Then he didn't have to wait for one fastpass to expire before getting another. Does that make sense to you? He also used my 2 yr old son's pass for a fast pass for himself also.

OK you can get one fast pass per attraction per ticket (Hopper, regualr park ticket etc) One person can take all the tickets to the kiosk and swipe them so you can get one fast pass ticket per person inthe group. Of course the younger kids who don't need passes need the fast pass for fast pass rides.

Last Aug. I sent my son to the machine to get all our FP. Be careful if you do this because once he left two passes in the machine! Talk about panic, the passes had two days left on them. We went straight to Main Street and they had our tickets in the computer and replaced them with a DW smile.:)

I usually take all of our cards and get the FP's unless there isnt many people waiting in line at the machines. I think FP's are the best thing since the creation of Mickey Mouse :)

I do the same thing...and I'd like to see Fast Passes at more rides. I just love the Fast Pass idea & am always amazed when I see people standing in really long lines. I think they just don't get it!

Ok now I must have my stupid brain on today because I don't get it! (I think!) this is how I understood it. I can get a fast pass for space mountain with my pass only for my entire group of 7 people, at the same time my wonderful disney husband can get one for jungle cruise? for the same time and same amount of people? etc etc... but are the fast pass machines all over the park or at the entrance of the ride? we have Great America by us (Illinois) and you can do the same thing but you have to pay for it and it only is good for 3-4 rides per day. so I take it there is no limit to the rides? I can do fast passes all day if I want right? now that I have really confused myself along with all of you, I would like to say thank you again and again for your help.

you would think I'd get it by now. I lead a very sheltered life

Nope...you need each person's pass to get a FP for that particular ride. I take my pass, my DH's pass & my DD's pass & get us each one FP for a particular ride. Then 2 hours later (unless they've changed that time limit) we can do the same thing for another ride with FP. Not all rides have FP machines & the machines are relatively close to each ride entrance. Does that make it any clearer?

Yes it does, Thanks, I really couldn't understand how they could let you do what I thought (each person getting a fp for every ride at the same time!) So I guess they are pretty smart at disney huh?

The only other thing you might want to be aware of is that once the fast passes are gone for that ride for the day, you are out of luck and have to try the stand by line, which is the normal line. We went to MGM in the late afternoon and all Fast Passes were gone for all of the Fast Pass attractions. We tried to get in Indiana Jones but it was standing room only for people without a Fast Pass, and we did not try it because we have 2 sons who wopuld not stand for that long trying to watch the show. So it is best to get Fast Passes early in the day.

I am learning something new every day, there's a limited number per day per ride but not per person? Meaning I could get as many fp's as possible, not that I want to be greedy with the rides but I want to get in as much as possible seeings this is my kids first time at the big wdw!!
