Thanks for the info. and that great link Jeff!:)

I feel so bad for those missing their favorite attractions on their upcoming trips.
I seemed to miss Dumbo on 2 separate trips...a bit of a bummer at the time.

Oh well it's still WDW, and there's so much fun to be had,
chins-up, everyone!;)

OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!

I hope with all my heart that they re-open the RnRC on time, because we leave for home on the 20th, and that's our 2nd favorite ride!!!

And they'd BETTER NOT decide to close the ToT early... I would cry, really I would...

Thanks for the info, though! It's much better to know beforehand than to be unpleasantly surprised when we get there.

while we were there nothing was closed in the parks and I was so glad COP was open :) we did it more then once ! the backlot tour was detoured around the construction. and there were those walls around the Universe of Energy but the attraction was still going on.
I dont remember seeing it mentioned but it seems Fedex isnt sponsering Space Mountian any more and it looks as if no one is sponsering Its a small world either.

Thanks for the updates Rlander. My sister has been planning a vacation, and it keeps getting changed for different reasons. I have been crossing my fingers that Peter Pan doesn't go down for refurbishment when she's there, because that is the one ride she always talked about.

I think if I were there and HM and POTC were closed, I would sit down and cry:cry: I worried about that our last trip, one of my favorite rides being down. It takes us too long to get back to wdw, I would hate to miss something I love.

dznygrl, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Just think happy thoughts, hopefully you'll be able to ride RnRc and Tot :nervous

Seems like a lot of things are going down. I hate that about BTM RR because it is one of the few roller coasters at DW. Seems like a long time for it to be down. Any real changes or just cosmetic stuff? We have avoided the SFTreeHouse for over 10 years so I guess we won't miss that one too much...but I would love to have the option anyway. I just hate for anything to be closed while I am there. :(

Thanks Goofette! I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my chin up, I promise! :D I guess there will always be good news and bad news...the good news is that they are not closing the HM for refurbishment, so I'll actually get to enjoy that this year! YAY!

New Poster

Hello, I am a new poster. My family, after receiveing our $1200 tax advance, decided to make a trip to WDW for the first time. We will be there from September 22 to sep. 26. Our first trip to WDW and the rides I want the most will be closed. What a bummer, but there will be much more to see and do.

BTW, if you are staying at a disney resort do you still have to pay to park at the parks?

Hyway ~ Hello and welcome. Not that I have been around much longer myself. But if you stay at a Disney resort then you do not have to pay parking at the parks. You get this parking permit hangtag you put on your mirror from the resort and you will be good to go on the parking.

I thought so. I had read in two different places that you could park free, but my "travel agent" at AAA told me no. Do you no an official location on the web that I could show her.

Hi Hyway, welcome to Disney Central. What a great way to spend the tax advance! I'm sorry some of the rides will be closed while you're there, but you'll still have a GREAT Time i'm sure! :) :)
