Water Park Comparison

I'm interested in hearing everyone's opinion about WHICH
water park is the best for the cost and slides!

I am NOT interested in how it "looks" (landscaping, flowers,
sculptures, etc...) I am interested in where I can get the most
SPLASH for my money!

:laugh

The guides all say that Wet & Wild, the "original" water park
is better for slide # and cost...

I have so far heard from one person who recommends
Blizzard Beach over Wet & Wild.

Please be specific about your comparisons. This is our
BIG trip for the next couple of years
and I want it to be the BEST! :D

I appreciate ALL your feedback and your kind welcome to the board! :)

Kim

water parks

Wet n Wild does have great slides..if thats what you are lookin for. Blizzard beach would probably be second..Wet n Wild just tends to be much hotter and i recommend water shoes. the floor is rough and will do a number on your feet. My favorite all around water park is Typhoon Lagoon. its got a little of everything!

I'm a teenager, so I totally dig as-many-slides-as-possible and the-more-thrills-the-better...but my vote will always go to Typhoon Lagoon!

Somehow the other parks don't seem as fun...less shade, more standing in line, more bruises and wedgies...

IMHO!!!! :D :p

I don't swim myself, but both Rafikiman & DD love water parks. They prefer TL because they think the wave pool is the best. My sister prefers TL because she can swim with the sharks!

I'm going to have to go with TL as well. It had stuff for everyone from my youngest DD who was 9 at the time, to my DS who was 15 at the time.

I'm not a slide person myself, but did enjoy the sharks and the wave pool.

Have fun,
-harry

I've been to Wet 'N Wild and Typhoon Lagoon and I liked Typhoon Lagoon better. It is not just theming, TL is MUCH cleaner IMHO. Wet 'N Wild isn't dirty but Disney just seems to go that extra mile. We haven't tried Blizzard Beach yet but hope to this coming March. Have a great time!!!

We past WNW this past trip - have to agree with the 'cleanliness' issue. We've been to both TL and BB. We like TL best (LOVE the Surf program and the wave pool - son likes the Humunga Cowabunga aLOT). Blizzard Beach is so blindingly white, two of us ended up with headaches.

Funny, my DD (5yrs old) and I were just talking about this at dinner tonite. We have not been to WNW, but between TL andBB she (and myself, and DH ) like TL the best.

On the travel channel top 10 water parks, Blizzard Beach is #2. You might want to try and catch it the next time its on. (I see it all the time )

Good luck with your decision.

Lauren

I have been to all 3. My favorite is TL by far. But, if you are looking just for the thrill of things I guess Wet N Wild has the most. But, it is just a water park like so many others, it has no atmosphere and it is so hot, nothing but concrete. TL is beautiful and has a great wave pool and the scuba thing. I really didn't care for BB that much but it does have the tallest plummet slide in the US which is why it is rated the #2 park in the US. The 2 Disney parks are the best....because they are at DW!
