Hey everybody! I just thought I'd let y'all know that the Travel Channel is airing a special, behind-the-scenes look on WDW as part of their Great Family Vacations week. Airtimes are as follows:

May 6: 8 p.m., 11 p.m.
May 10: 12 a.m., 9 p.m.
May 11: 3 p.m.
May 12: 2 p.m.

All times are in ET, so check your local TV guide for airing times in your area! I know I'll definetely be tapping this one! :)

Cool, awesome, excellent info. One problem, though-I don't leave until June 28! I hope I can last that long after I watch this show.:) :dazed :) :dazed

geee I remember that feeling ... being all excited and not being able to stand the wait as the days drag on and on .. *sigh* if not for DC .. I would be clued to my tv rewinding my disney world video

I watched a 30-minute show about The Grand Floridian Hotel today. It was very informative and lots of fun. It showed me the Walt Disney Suite (aka the Presidential Suite); nightly cost is only $2K! And, it showed the special Victorian Suite. It really was a lovely place. I don't know what that one costs nightly. The host also demonstrated some of the outstanding food one can enjoy at Victoria and Albert's, Disney's five-diamond restaurant and "the only one in central Florida". My mouth was watering. They also provided some info about the weddings that people can plan to have there. Oh! And, I think that she said that all the rooms have balconies/verandahs. I know that the one she was standing on overlooked the lagoon and Cindy's castle; it was a lovely site! There were a couple of quick shots of the pools including the new one with the waterfall.
I had walked thru the GF a few years ago and saw how lovely the lobby was, so the show brought back those happy memories, too. I think that it will be shown again during May. You may want to check it out to get your Disney fix. (A few sections of the Magic Kingdom were also highlighted.)

Yeah, I watched the special on GF on the Travel Channel also. I have hever seen the hotel in person, and it looked absolutely amazing, like my boyfriend (I had to put that because he's sitting right here next to me!). I loved seeing Cindy's carriage, I want to take a tour of WDW in it! Yeah, I watch Travel Channel a lot. You'd be amazed on what you can find out from there! Now I'm even more excited about my trip, if that's even possible! :)

I really don't know how I'm going to wait all the way until late August! My boyfriend and I went to the mall today (about 30 min from our house) just to go to the Disney Store! I'm going crazy here! Can't I just skip a couple of months? :)

HOW AM I GOING TO MAKE IT? ARE YOU SURE I CAN'T SKIP A COUPLE OF MONTHS AND GO DIRECTLY TO AUGUST 17 (the day before we leave so we can actually pack)? Maybe I should just by a house at MK so I can live there. I wouldn't mind the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House!:D

Anticipation can be a wonderful thing. And, the best part of anticipating a trip to WDW, is that you won't be disappointed! (You know how sometimes when you look forward to something, and it actually comes and goes, you are sometimes let down or your expectations didn't come to fruition? Fortunately, trips to WDW are usually surpassing our expectations.)

I love the travel channel!!! I watch it all the time!! I saw the great hotels episode yesterday on the grand floridan, it was great! I love that show and sam ( thats the hostess) It's on everyday at 3 here in florida and that perfect cause i get home at like 2:45 from school, i watch it everyday, lol. Anyways i went to travel channel.com and printed out every show they are doing on disney over the next month (aren't i OBSESSED!!??) lol.... anyways, the nest one isnt until the 6th where its called "wild california" so im guessing it has disneyland on it....then theres the "wdw resort:behind the scenes" and they are reruning it all the time according to the schedule! Then may 7 they are doing a great hotels on........yes..... THE ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE!! at 3 eastern.... lol...then there is one about disneyland paris, and another one on the 13th about the yacht and beach club...if you want the actual times go to travelchannel.com and where it says search type in "disney" it will give you all the dates in eastern time. Well g2g, im missing my show! lol
