New Aladdin Ride?
Could someone please tell me, the new Aladdin ride, I have heard, is similar to the Dumbo ride in Magic Kingdom. Is that so, and are the lines similar as well? My daughter is so looking forward to Dumbo, and I am wondering if the Aladdin ride would replace that need for her without the long wait.
Thanks! :) |

Aladdin Ride
Last time I was there, the lines were similar to Dumbo, but only because it had just opened. My kids liked it better than Dumbo, but they are a bit older. My little one is scared of both, so I can't answer that one from her point of view. A little faster and longer is how I see it.

Just returned from Disney, Nov.7-Nov.14. And yes, Aladdin is very similar to Dumbo. Except for the lines. Dumbo was a 30 min. wait early in the morning. We got on Aladdin around 1:30 and just walked right on without any wait. My 2 kids; 6 and 3 enjoyed Aladdin more.

I agree
Last time we were there, in October, the lines were about 5 minutes most of the day at Aladdin, and Dumbo was around 45 minutes or more all day. My kids loved the camel that squirted water, and it quickly became a game to them to see how wet they could get the people in the back row.

Just went on that ride with 3 year old and its pretty good, the driver in the back can control the carpet leaning to the front and back while the driver in the front controlled the up and down movement.
She had a blast:D |

Thanks for your help!
We just got back, and were able to ride all of the hub and spoke rides (Dumbo, Aladdin, Astro Orbiter and Triceratop Spin). I liked the Aladdin ride the best, it just seemed to do more. I think my daughter liked Dumbo far better than the other, despite the wait. Just must be something about Dumbo and McDonalds that kids are born with.
We were fortunate and ran to Dumbo right as the gates opened, and so we didn't have much of a wait, maybe 15 minutes. We got lucky on Astro Orbiter and seemed to hit a lul in the afternoon. The lines weren't bad at Aladdin after about 2:00, and there were no lines at the new Triceratop Spin. Thanks again!!! :p |

Re: New Aladdin Ride?
Everytime I pass by the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, I always have to pass it up because it is so darn crowded. But I did manage to go on it when it first opened...even then I had to wait a bit. Any way good luck with that and I feel that it blows Dumbo out of the water...it is great!
