19 month old at WDW

My wife and I will be bringing our then 19 month old little girl to WDW in October. I was hoping to get some suggestions on rides, attractions or other things she may like to see while we are there. We will be there 10 days and plan on hitting the parks at least 2 times each and would like to hit both water parks as well. She is a fearless little kid who loves going on slides etc. at parks right now. We will be splitting our time at Wilderness Lodge and Beach Club. Thanks for any help.

Hey Brian. We took our little guy at 16 months and it was great.

My suggestion would be to do a few of the character meals.
And the pool at the Beach Club has a section that is perfect for the little ones.

Have Fun!!!

Buzz:

Which character meals would you recommend at that age? We were thinking of trying Chef Mickey's and Goofy's Beach Party breakfast at the Beach Club.

I think those are both excellent choices, you might also want to add the Crystal Palace at the MK. Winnie th Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore are there, and the food is great!:) Happy planning!

Also over in EPCOT, The Harvest Grill Rest. with Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale...good food too!

Check the schedule for the water parks, I believe one will be under rehab at that time...Blizzard Beach? I think

It's so fun with the little ones!

Den, I think you might mean the Garden Grille in the Land pavillion? Pluto is there with Mickey, Chip and Dale...I don't think Minnie is, unless she is a new addition. I love that place too!:)

Playhouse Disney at MGM would be a must for us. My kids love the show. You will be surprised at all you can do. Not many attractions have height requirements.

I second The Crystal Palace with the Pooh characters. My kids just loved it. I have never been to Chef Mickeys but from all I've read it sounds like a must do. We can't wait to go in Oct and are starting our trip with it by going for dinner on our arrival day.

Brian,

Chef Mickey's is an excellant choice. Our children 5, 3, and 20 months had a blast...so did us grown-ups! Our 20 month old was actually the center of attention that evening. Also, I would recommend an early PS if possible. It wasn't crowded and the characters spent a lot of time with the children.
Happy planning!

Hi Brian!

We took our little boy when he was 21 mos. He loved Disney World! What did he like the best? I would say that it was all of the attention that he got from Mom and Dad! Plus, he really liked being able to run free. Any activity that we did, whether theme park or hotel, he loved to run and explore. We stayed at the BoardWalk and he loved walking (running) through a deserted Epcot first thing in the morning!

He liked the Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Buzz Lightyear in the MK. Oh, and he especially liked eating in the Coral Reef resturant...we sat right next to the tank and he loved to watch the fish!

I just returned from WDW with my 22 month old (he was also there when he was 7 months old and loved it then, too!). But of course, this trip was truly MAGICAL for him.

We have been watching the Disney Vacation Planning DVD for MONTHS now. Seriously, I know every single word to that DVD!!! My little guy is OBSESSED with it. Well, when he saw the Castle for the first time, he was so excited, jumping up and down, etc.
It was an incredible feeling, seeing him so happy!

As for what your 19 month old girl will like...Hmmm...I say practically EVERYTHING at MK! Pirates of the Caribbean, Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, It's a Small World, Buzz Lightyear, TTA, Astro Orbiter, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Aladdin's carpets, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Peter Pan's Flight, Haunted Mansion, Tom Sawyer's Island, Mickey's Toon Town Fair, the Carousel, I could go ON AND ON AND ON!!! Also, THE CHARACTERS will make her day....DEFINITELY do breakfast at Crystal Palace. It was AMAZING. I would also highly suggest CHEF MICKEY'S. And although I haven't been, I hear OHANA's at the Poly is a great character breakfast, too! There is also a Donald Character breakfast at AK, too! And the Goofy breakfast at the Beach Club sounds fun, as well. The Animal Kingdom is also a great place for her to go, too! And don't forget to see all the parades and fireworks spectaculars...especially Illuminations at Epcot! My DS absolutely loved it!

There are SO MANY things to do with your little one...you will have an amazing time! ;) :D

We took our daughter at about that age and had a wonderful time! Don't forget to take her in the "Imagiantion" pavillion. She will love Figment. Also, she should enjoy the "Honey I Shrunk..." playground at MGM along with the Little Mermaid Show. There really are many attractions that little ones will like. Have fun and enjoy her while she is little. It is true, they're grown before you know it!

We did the Goofys Beach Party and Crystal Palace. I think the Crystal Palace - Pooh, Eyeor, Piglet and Tigger were the biggest hit for my then 16 month old.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the character meals with a 19 month old.
