Candle Light Processional - More Help Please
I read the thread lower down about this event, and got the info from last year off of Deb's site. I want to make plans for this year, but I can't find out what the options are! The official Disney site doesn't list the Processional/Christmas Story at all, let alone who the guest narrators are going to be (or what days/times the thing is)!! We want to do a dinner package -- Morraco from last year looked good -- but I can't find any information about which restaurants have the dinner package (or their prices). I'm feeling very incompetent here. :( We'd be there between Nov 28 & Dec 4, so I don't think I can wait too much longer. Can I? Do reservations go fast??? Can I wait until they say who the narrators are going to be before reserving or will that be too late 'cause I'd be really upset to be going one night and having someone who I'd really want to see be on the next night? Why on earth can't I find out anything about this? :(

I understand your frustration. I just placed two separate calls to 407-WDW-DINE, which handles booking reservations for the Candlelight Processional dinner packages, and both cast members I spoke with said the list of guest narrators hadn't been announced yet. They said they didn't know when the list would be anounced. Both cast members said they were accepting dinner package reservations and were a little sheepish when I said it was kind of hard to pick a date when you didn't know who the narrator was going to be.
I wouldn't get too nervous, though, about the dinner package reservations being gone. We have gone to the Processional every year for a long time (in fact we ate in Morocco last year) and usually make our reservations in December. We've never had a problem. I'd keep trying the 407-WDW-DINE number every so often to see if the narrators have been announced.

Guest narrators are fairly well known individuals with rapidly changing schedules. The list of potential candidates didn't come out last year until well into the fall, then there's another flurry of activity booking. Usually speakers will do several nights in a row, so if you're only going for a few nights, I'd book the dinner regardless.
You can always change your reservation later should you want to, if you decide to book now. You'll get a credit on yoru card, then a recharge. We did that last year when we found out Marlee Matlin was going to be there early in the week. She was so wonderful she brought me to tears. OK, so it doesn't take much in the first place, but hey...

As Park Hopper said, narrators have not been announced.
For restaurant pricing for 2003, click here. Here you go, I found the info right here on DC. Click here. Last edited by jmouse; 09-03-2003 at 10:53 PM. |

A couple days ago, I tried making my dinner package reservations for the Candlelight Processional on Thursday, Dec. 11 and they told me that particular date wasn't taking reservations until Sept. 12 at the earliest. Has this happened to anyone else? :hmmm

Thanks for the info!! The link to Mickey's post helped a lot -- at least now I know Morroco is on for this year. I also feel better about trying to find out narrators before booking. My parents and I were both thinking it would be cool if Ellen was a guest narrator! With our luck, if she is, it will probably be either just before we arrive or just after we leave. :(
