A few questions because we're GOING BACK - YEA!
Big smiles from me!! :D :D :D :D My DH and I are going back to WDW Nov 29-Dec 2. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it.
Now - we missed a few things last June when we took our 2 DGS and I have a few questions - 1. One thing I really wanted to do last time was have the boys' silhouettes done. While there we passed someone doing them, but we were in a hurry to get to a ride and I thought we'd make it back. But I totally forgot about it until we were home. My question - if I took profile pictures of the boys, do you think the artist could do silhouettes from photos? 2. While at Mickey's Toontown Fair I guess we just missed seeing Mickey or Minnie's automobiles. Where are they located? 3. One thing I really wanted to see at Disney Studios was the "Singin' in the Rain" umbrella that I'd read about. I asked 3 different CMs and none of them seemed to know what I was talking about. Can anyone tell me where it's located? 4. We've ordered tickets for MVMCP but haven't received them yet. Do I have to wait until I have them in hand before I can make a PS at LTT? 5. I really wanted to try to get a PS for breakfast with Cinderella but have read other posts that make it sound like I probably won't be able to. Opinions? 6. Can't remember - can you take photos (no flash) and/or videos at the HM? How about photos just inside MGM's ToT prior to riding and could I take a pic of my husband with one of the CM bellhops? Thanks in advance for your help. ![]()

Congratulations on getting to go back; I'm so jealous!
Anyway, about the silouettes, I was told one time when I inquired that those were only done at Disneyland. Unless they've just added those this year, I couldn't answer that. The "Singing in the Rain" umbrella is located on the corner behind the 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids' playground. You would have to walk out that doorway onto NY Street and then turn to your left. It's either there or over by the theatre behind the Muppets 3D. I can't remember exactly, just know it's in that vicinity. Hopefully they haven't taken it out to remodel Residential St. You can make your PS at LTT now, just let them know that you have MVMCP tickets. Call now for the best times!!! As for CRT, if you are 90 days out, CALL NOW!!!!! I tried for 1 week solid to get PS for us a couple of years ago, NO SUCH LUCK! Hope you have better time than I. If you can't get CRT, and you're wanting to do a Princess thing, consider EPCOT Princess breakfast. As for the HM pictures, good luck getting them to turn out. I've tried numerous times to take pictures of things inside the attraction (I used no flash as per Disney request, NO FLASH) and have yet to get a picture to turn out. They are always blurry because the ride is moving. As for ToT pictures w/Bellhop, you would have to ask them. I'm sure they would let you know if allowed or not. Hope this information helps. Good luck & have a great time!:) |

You can take profile photos (make them large, on a very bland background) MK has a silouette artist across from the Liberty Tree Tavern. Some of the artists will cut them from photos.
Agree with Dizkneelvr - call now for those ressies! LTT will sell out for the MVMCP night, and CRT is probably all ready sold out, but worth a call. If it is, I highly second breakfast over in Norway at the Storybook Friends character breakfast - they've Snow White, Aurora, Mulan, Belle, and various others (it rotates) The characters seem to spend more time there. We really enjoy it.

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to call for PS at LTT first thing tomorrow morning and ask then about Cindy's Table. If not, I'll try the Princess Storybook Breakfast.
If we're able to get into the breakfast at Epcot and have an early seating (before FW opens at 9), what's the best way to get to the restaurant? We'll be coming from All Star Sports using Disney transporation. I'm going to get profile shots of the boys and see if I can find an artist to do the silhouettes for me. Maybe I should just try taking video in the HM? I'd love a picture at the very end where a ghost joins you in your Doombuggy! Too bad Disney doesn't do pictures at that point of the ride. Maybe not technically do-able?

Haunted Mansion
Last trip I video taped the entire ride and it came out great!
If you have a digital/video camera you should be able to produce a still shot from it...... Have fun ! :)

Thanks ppe, I bought a digital video camera just especially for our trip in June but I'd run out of tape before we made it to HM. (Lesson 1 - Always have enough film and extra batteries with you!)
I videotaped the entire Buzz Lightyear ride that day, other scenes around MK and part of It's a Small World and ran out of tape there. (I did video tape 99% of Fantasmic - got splashed a couple of times with water spray and had to wipe the lens off - and everything came out so great we couldn't believe it. I know there are ways of extracting a photo off a digital video camera, I'll just have to learn how. Thanks again for the info.
