Disney in October and Not So Scary Nights

We going to Disney for the first time in October. How are the lines and crowds? Also on the Not So Scary nights is it worth the extra $30 dollars apiece.

September and October are 2 of the quietest months to go which is why we go then.

Hardly any crowds or queues....wonderful!:D :D

We went last Oct and early Nov., it was great. No lines! The weather was perfect. It only rained one day while we were there and it was the day we went to the water park, and it only rained for about 30 mins. Go to the halloween party you'll have fun. What time frame are you going in Oct and where are you staying. Probably going back in Oct of 2005.

MickeyCrazy, welcome to DisneyCentral. For some reason, this October, especially between about the 16th and the end of the month is quite crowded. There are many nights when every hotel on property is booked up. If you are going during that time, just avoid the Magic Kingdom on the days before and after the Halloween party. Many of the people will be locals who come just for that, and stay only one night.

From all I have heard, yes, the party is worth the extra money. If you are thinking of going, make sure you buy your tickets in advance, most nights sell out.

For real Mickey?

I had hoped that this would not be the case while we are there. But you have to figure with everything happening in the parks, Mission Space opening, Mickey's PhilharMagic opening, Wishes debuting, MNSSHP and the Food and Wine Festival, that it would be crowded.

I like to look at it as we have pickd the perfect time to go - all these exciting events!

Hi and Welcome MickeyCrazy,
We'll be there also in late October into Nov. We love this time of year. We are from New England, and it's fun to see how Disney decorates for the fall. We are looking forward to the halloween party on Oct 26!
WELCOME!
Den;)

Perfect time of the year to go, lines are 5 minutes long and very little rain!

MNSSHP is worth the money! We will be there 10/24 - 11/02 and at MNSSHP on 10/30. :D :D

Mickey, I am guessing this is due to the success of FTP??? I hope everyone that goes will post a trip report and, more importantly, pix of MNSSHP... This is one of those events that I would love to go to but will never be able to because of its coinciding with football season....

I have to say that I am a little bummed that the end of October will be sooooo busy. We purposely pick off times to beat the crowds. I am hoping it will somehow be better than it sounds right now.

Bummed, but not too bummed that we are not going....

Disney in October and Not So Scary Nights

Keep the faith!

We're going 10/20 to 10/24 and just hoping that the parks won't be too crowded. I had no problem booking a PS for Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace for the trip. Since this is going to be the first trip for my grandchildren (2,3 & 4), I have been feeling the same way about the crowds.

Even if it is crowded it's going to be wonderful! After all, it is WDW.

We just have to roll with it and enjoy.
