How to Dress for WDW in Oct.

What are the nights like in FL during Oct?
I am pretty sure that we will do the shorts and t-shirts thing during the day, but I am very cold natured (shivering as I type) so I am wondering if I should bring a jacket or such...?
Thanks in advance!

HI-

When we were there in October 2 years ago, we didn't need to change from what we wore that day. I also get cold a little quicker than most everyone in my family, but I think I just brought a sweat shirt. Capris were also better than shorts for the nights.

Have Fun!

Lauren

I always advise anyone going from October to April to bring 2 cold weather outfits because you never know what the temp will be like at night.

The average high temperature in Orlando in October is 82.5 degrees and the average low is 66. As you can see, beautiful days and cooler nights. Sweaters and light jackets are usually fine, but as Mickaholic said, sometimes Florida weather can be pretty quirky.

We are bringing pants, long sleeve shirt and a light jacket just in case of a cold spell. :D

I too am going in October and plan on bringing some clothing to ward off cooler weather. Even though I am from a hot climate I get cool easily. With most of the parks closing earlier you can go back to your hotel and pick up a jacket or change into long pants before you go out for the evening. Maybe we will pass each other there!

We are not from Florida. But when we arrive at DW this Nov. I always pack for two seasons. Shorts, which I always hope we can wear, capri's, jeans, and sweatshirts, because you just never know. Always good to be prepared. Good Luck, and have a great time!!!!! JOANN:)

My DD and I went last October (3rd - 7th) and the temp never went under 80. We wouldn't have been able to wear jeans unless we wanted to melt. You didn't mention what dates your trip was. I think that may be a factor in the temp. However, like others, I bring jeans and sweatshirts even in August just in case. You will have the same decisions to make regarding packing as I will in January. For the Florida weather can throw anything at you. I sware it has a mind all of it's own:D . Better to be prepared than to be over or under dressed and unconfortable on your trip. Just pack the BIG suitcase and make someone else carry it  Have a great trip!

In 25 Easy Steps:
1. Wonder why Mickey Mouse is talking to you down the phone.
2. Realise you're at WDW, and get out of bed.:D

7. Make silly faces and remove shorts which are still wet from yesterdays Kali River Rapids 10-ride extravaganza.:weird:
8. Have more coffee to get over the shock.
9. Find dry shorts and put on.
10. Find favourite T-shirt and put on (over head).::)
11. Locate trainers from where they were thrown the previous night.:hmmm
12. Realise you're wearing one Goofy sock and one Tinkerbell sock. Swap Tinkerbell sock for Goofy sock.:laugh

14. Have more coffee.
15. Remove t-shirt and put back on, the right way round this time.:o
16. Locate digital camera, and check batteries and memory cards are all fully charged and downloaded.
17. Put digital camera in case and affix to belt.:nothing:
18. Check video camera. Ensure tape is okay and batteries are full charged.
19. Put video camera in case and affix to belt.:nothing:
20. Ensure mobile phone is charged and place in pocket.;phone:

25. Realise that you now need the bathroom and have to disentangle yourself from all your essentials before you can.:nooo:
