Stroller Vouchers?

I read a tip over the weekend about Stroller Vouchers... Basically, when you buy your tickets, you can also buy stroller vouchers. You by-pass the regular stroller rental place and pick up your stroller with the voucher at a 'secret' location. It seemed like a pretty good timesaver.

BUT... the tip was really vague - and I think it was in reference to Disneyland - not WDW. Does anyone know if WDW does this?

Just curious. Oh...and watch your ankles.

we have been stroller free for 4 years now ( hip hip hurray) ..but they didnt do this back then .. I did notice that there was a sorta "pre-stroller" rental area ..outside the gates .. this year at WDW .. how this worked I dont know .. and I only saw it outside MK. I dont know why there would be a "secret" location for this though ..that doesnt sound right. I know if your stroller comes up missing you can replace it at different locations in the parks and we have had them come up missing while in rides. I do love the new strollers at the parks ..wish they had had those when we used them ..they even have cup holders on the back!! with tons of storage space too!

I was just at MK and used the stroller voucher. You basically pay the rental fee before you go in to the park so that you don't have to stand in a long line to get a stroller. As for the secret location - it wasn't really a secret. In fact you picked up the stroller from the same place that the "regular" line picked them up from.

Tip: make sure you return the stroller in order to get your refund - $10 disney dollars!!

Thanks! I think we'll try this.

this must of been what I saw .. if I remember right (and I prolly dont) it was between the security check point and the gate, it might have been that you could go there before going through the check point. I remember when we use to rent the strollers .. it was an awful line to get in

jandbabyk $10.00 in disney dollars? I remember the strollers renting for $6.00 and you gave a deposit of $8.00 ..has the price gone up?

It is usually a podium just inside the gate between the gate and the stroller rentyal. We use this all the time. I have only seen it at the magic kingdom, not at any of hte other parks.

I assume if you purchase the voucher at MK you can use it at any of the parks correct? I don't know why we never knew about this. Thanks for the tip!

We were in WDW in February and last year as well. We always got 1 Disney Dollar as a refund not 10.

I think they got $10 back for the stroller voucher... a weeks worth adding up to the $10. Maybe I'm wrong, that's just the way I read it!

Yes you can go from to park to park and the rental is good all day.

At the end of the day you turn in your reciept/voucher, usually at a podium near the stroller corral and you get one disney dollar. My wife does it every day of the trip. She could be crippled from getting rammed with strollers all day, the sky could be on fire and the earth erupting in molten lave, but my wife would be right there turning in her stroller voucher for that one disney dollar! But hey I love her anyway!:)

I highly recommend you prepaying for your stroller. Right before you enter, there will be a cast member with a sign. You just pay him $8 and he'll write your last name on a piece of paper and give you a receipt. Then, once you enter the park, you can bypass the stroller line and go right up to the stroller pick up point. Show them your paper and then you are off!!!

You do get one Disney Dollar back if you return the stroller to the check-in point. It was worth it to us. We saved them until the end of the trip and gave the dollars to our two year old to pick out something. He thought the DDs were really cool. Also, just save your receipt and it is good for stroller usage all day at any of the parks. You just have to turn in your receipt to get your DD.

One other tip...If your child isn't too big. After watching Fantasmic, we left the stroller where it was parked. My husband just carried our son. It was much easier than trying to drive a stroller throught that amazing crowd that was trying to exit the park. We felt like it saved us mucho time and probably saved alot of ankles...
