Hmm...I think the height restriction for splash mountain is 40 inches....Barnstormer is 35 inches...

I think the haunted mansion depends on the child...

In MGM, I also really liked the Beauty and the Beast show (depending on who you are travelling with) and also the Voyage of the LIttle Mermaid show....this one has some good effects.

Yes, you do sit as a family on Primeval Whirl. It's lots of kind of fun - and I really wouldn't miss the Kilimanjaro Safaris. It's wonderful. All kids love it. and adults too..

These are attractions I would add to the list (for the theme parks) and I am SURE I am missing some!:

MAGIC KINGDOM
SPACE MOUNTAIN (yes, there is a height restriction)
MICKEY'S PHILHARMAGIC (if it's open when you go!)
CRYSTAL PALACE (if your kids...or you!...like Pooh and friends)
MAGIC KINGDOM RAILROAD (nice relaxing train ride around the park)
MAIN STREET USA - SHOPPING AND JUST ABSORBING THE AMBIANCE!

MGM
TOWER OF TERROR!!!
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST SHOW
LITTLE MERMAID SHOW

EPCOT
WORLD SHOWCASE!!!
SPACESHIP EARTH (some might not agree, but to me, it's a classic)

ANIMAL KINGDOM
SAFARI...this is GREAT!!!
TARZAN ROCKS...very loud and fun!!!
CAMP MINNIE MICKEY (if you or your kids want to see the characters!)

I agree, the Kilimanjaro Safari is a not miss for me, the best ride in AK. The Wildlife Express Train that goes to Conservation Station and Affection Section is a pass in my book, just not worth the time. I would much rather take the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and the Maharajah Jugle Trek. They are nice and relaxing, and you get to see some great animals.

My other suggestions would be to take the Tomorrowland Tranist Authority in the Magic Kingdom, one of my favorite rides, and Carousel of Progress if open. In EPCOT, don't miss Living with the Land and the Kid Stations in the World Showcase.

All of these are on my Don't Miss list, and everything else you have time for is gravy.

Ahhh! You forgot Pirates of the Caribbean and the Jungle Cruise!

When we were there last week, although I had heard TOT was scheduled to be closed, it was still open. They are running freq TV ads for the TOT4. One side was closed down, so maybe they are only taking down one half at a time. So you might want to check just to be sure.

If you have time I would check out as many of the Disney resorts as you can. You can spend half a day walking around and enjoying each ones unique features. Especially Wilderness Lodge. It's my favorite. I could go on vacation there for a week and never leave the hotel grounds.

You should also try some of the resort restaurants like O'hana at the Poly or Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. After you eat dinner at O'hana you can check out the beach and maybe watch the Mk fireworks from a different point of view.

Good Luck fitting all your plans into one vacation. It will be tough. What you don't see this time, you will next time, and the next time, and the next time......

In MK, I think the 5 year old will love Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride. I personally never want to miss Big Thunder Mountain Railroad either. :p

In EPCOT, I always have to take at least one ride on the Mexican River Ride.... I'm having a senior moment... I can't remember the name... Something Tiempo? I may have to turn in my mouse ears for this...

I have to agree with rlander on taking some time to visit the resorts. This is one of our favorite things to do on an off-day. We usually hit Ohana's for the Character breakfast and ride the monorail before hitting the resorts...

I am definately not the disney pro that a lot of folks around here are, but I have a few things to add.

Carousel of Progress is in the Magic Kingdom (you should see it if it is open, since it is an original Disney classic and not open often)

The height restrictions can be found at http://www.wdwig.com/rr.htm

The Haunted Mansion is my 13 yo ds's favorite ride and has been since he was 2, but my 10 yo dd still can't stand it. It depends on how serious your child takes these things. There is a wma file of the entire ride (Disney Land version, but close enough) at http://disneylandsource.com/mansion/index.html I downloaded it and my dd and I have been listening to it and discussing it so she knows what to expect during the ride.

Most of all, even if you miss something, enjoy yourself and use it as an excuse to go back sooner!
