AK-Walking Vine?

Question-We saw a walking vine last time we were at Animal Kingdom. Has anyone else seen it before and if so where was it and does it have a name. I want to get a picture of it this time.

:heart :) :) :heart

YES!!

We saw her last week at AK. She does have a name, but I've forgotten what it is:( . She was walking on the pathway from Asia to Africa. I got a couple of pictures, when they come in I'll try to post them.

We *loved* her! As many times as we've been to AK, we've never run into her until this past August. Got the best pictures of her, and my Dad fell in love, so the wait was well worth it. She did a somersault when we were there, too - thta was soooo neat! i wanted to share this with you guys - was very happy with it!

Roncss - she's incredibly photogenic. I don't have a bad pic of her. She *really* hams it for the cam if you move in close. I couldn't have gotten a bad shot if I'd tried.

Lauren, can't wait to see yours!

Fabulous photo, MickeyMac. Thanks for posting. We saw her for the first time in early August. It's pretty cool how she's able to blend into the foliage and become undetectable when she wants to. Does anybody know how long she's been around?

I know DeVine has been at AK (at least) since Feburary of 2000. This was our first trip to WDW and had the great pleasure of seeing her almost all by ourselves. This was probably one of my Dad's favorite things to see. This was his first trip too at the age of 61. She startled us when we first realized she was there. She was wrapped around a tree next to the walk way and made a very subtle move to get our attention then went into her "act" . I walked right by her by thankfully my parents saw her. It was so cool!! We didn't see her in 2002 when we were there maybe we will see her again in April of 2004

We'd like to see her when we go the end of Nov. Would a CM be able to tell you when she'll be out and where to find her they way they do the other characters?

Awesome pic MickeyMac! I'd love to see her. I would think the CM's would be able to tell you if she is out and where to find her.

You're not kidding - that was the ONLY way we were able to find her. Had to ask a CM, then found out the one we asked was her 'handler' (for lack of better term... LOL!)

Why do I feel there is probably a daily rift over who gets the honor of being her "handler"... hmmmm?

Okay John, you get DeVine and Bob, you get Ursula.....:laugh
