Last time- I promise!!!

Hi Everyone,

I know i've been going on and on about our professional pictures, but, we just got them back today, the actual physical proofs, and I cannot stress enough how beautiful they are.

Mickey had actually pm'd me about posting with some info, he must have missed the previous posts;) . So here it goes: I found out about this service through the Disney Club newsletter, DClub members receive 10% off sitting fee. You and your family, group, etc, can have your pictures taken anywhere in WDW, resorts, parks..the sittiing fee depends on the amount of people in your group, for 3 people (and I think it's up to 6) it was $275-10%. They tell you you will receive between 12-24 photos, we got 37. We choose (with guidance from photographer) to do the MK. We made our appointment for 10AM 2 days after we arrived to WDW. We met our photographer, Vicki, in the Rose Garden, in front of the castle. She took several family pictures there. As we were finishing up, Goofy came by to sign autographs, and she was able to grab him for us, and we got 2 great shots!

She then took us over to Belle's Storybook area, on the way we passed Pluto, a DD favorite, she offered to stand in line with us and take some shots, I said no only because I didn't want it to cut into our time. At the storybook area she took several family poses, then we did DD and me, DD and DH, me and DH, and LOTS of DD by herself. The whole "shoot" took about 30 minutes, they told us to plan on an hour.

Now, as for the price, these are professional photographers, and the pictures show that. Later in the day Vicki had a wedding to do.
You are able to view online in 2 weeks. And then they come in the mail in 4 weeks, what a beautiful presentation. 12 pictures come in a portfolio, one like you get when you do senior pictures for school, then the rest come in a box, very nice.
If anyone is thinking about doing family pictures, I would say it is really worth looking into. You can do them anywhere you want, the photog's know the best location at each place. iluvwdw is having hers done in Dec at the Floridian, with the gingerbread house and all, I can't wait to see hers!! Sorry to ramble, I just wanted to get all the info out. If anyone missed seeing mine who is intrested just respond to this thread, or PM me, I'll get ya the info!

Lauren is right, from what I saw of them, they are absolutely GORGEOUS. There is not a bad photo in the bunch..it helps that they have a great looking family ;) ! Really, the pics were wonderful and I can't think of a perfect setting to our first family portrait.

I haven't made my definite time yet, but I called last week and they were WIDE open...especially that time of year (value season) and at the Grand Floridian. Now, I am sure you are wondering why I chose the Floridian, being that I have a 2 year old and all...when I spoke to the photographer, I was dead set on Magic Kingdom...since it is so geared to little ones. But then the photographer made a good point...she said that they only do MK pics when the park is OPEN, so there is a lot going on around you. A 2 year old might be easily distracted and might start running after Mickey or Pooh (does she know my son or something?!? :laugh ). She made a GREAT point, one that I would never have thought of. I was talking to her about how I wanted to do pics in front of the Christmas tree at MK and then she suggested Grand Floridian. She said they had BEAUTIFUL Christmas decorations there, including the gingerbread house! She said we can do some pics with Christmas decorations, and some without. She even said we would be able to go outside and take pics (near the wedding pavillion, I think! ). She also said the experience would be more private, and we wouldn't have to worry about passers by in our pics...and we also wouldn't have to worry about Nathaniel running after the balloon guy at MK!!! LOL...............

So my decision is made and guess what??? ANNUAL PASS holders get a 10% discount, too! And I think the sitting includes 8 people, if I am not mistaken. I only have the 3 of us, but it is nice to know that if you are going with a group, you are all included and they will take a variety of shots with everyone!

$275 seems like a hefty price tag, but not really....not for an amazing Christmas/WDW family portrait that we will treasure forever.......

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I saw the on-line proofs and they were GREAT. Every picture was great, not a bad one in the whole set. I have no idea how you are going to pick Lauren, I am not sure I could!! If you have not seen these PM Lauren and get the info, it is well worth it. I am thinking about doing this for our next trip, what a great place to get a great family photo.

Hey Laurengold, I would like to see your pics, if you don't mind.
I would have loved to have done something like this, but I guess I didn't have a good enough excuse to pass off on the people that I was with!

Lauren,

You pictures were absolutely gorgeous and you have every right to be as excited as you are. I think you just became the new spokes person for them. After seeing yours, I'mm looking into getting mine done when me and my DD go in January. Thanks again for sharing your pictures. They really were great.

Thanks everyone for the compliments:love: .

Cher- that is so great your inlaws will be there too. My mom and neice were supposed to meet us this trip, but they were unable to, and we really wanted them in the pictures too.

Dana- That will be so great, you and your daughter, I think some of my favorites are the ones of just her and her Dad and her and I.

Kim- I'm glad you posted about the info you got too, It gives everyone more ideas and information!
