WDW Christmas Photos

Hi everyone!

I know I've been gone from DC for quite a while, but DW and I went out to the parks a bunch during the holidays and I just had to find the time to post a link to the Christmas photos from around the World that we took. The size of the pictures forced some of the titles off the page, but for the most part the photos were taken at the Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Grand Floridian, Boardwalk and MGM.

The Christmas holidays at WDW were very beautiful, as usual, but it was very crowded, too. Christmas Day and New Year's Day at the parks were particularly jammed. MK and AK were forced to close quite a few times during the holidays. With various friends and relatives visiting during the holidays, we did manage to see the Christmas Processional three times. It's still a tremendously moving experience.

DW and I continued our tradition of resort hopping to check out the decorations and weren't disappointed. Part of the tradition is to have a drink in the lounge of each resort we go to, so if some of the photos are out of focus, you'll know why.

I hope everyone at DC had a wonderful holiday season and is looking forward to a fantastic New Year.:D

OK I just had to come back and ask you...Did they still give out the 3-D glasses to wear in New York? I saw them making the Gingerbread House on the Travel Channel!

Liked the photos of the Gingerbread house. I just got to see the WDW Holidays special from the travel channel where they showed the making of it, so it was neat to see the house actually in place.
Thanks for sharing.:)

Thanks for the welcome back! It's nice to know you've been missed. You guys at DC really are special people. As for the DCers who asked questions on this thread:

Leslie, I don't really know if 3-D glasses were given out this year. We were never at MGM after dark, and with no Osborne lights it never occurred to me to check to see if the angels were put on the streetlights. My guess is they didn't give out 3-D glasses because they were pretty much for the Osborne lights, but I can't say for sure.

Were you able to see the pictures on your own computer when you got home? I hope so.

No, not silly at all . . . very observant, in fact. The picture didn't have anything to do with Christmas, I've just always thought the Youse Guys Moychindise awning was funny. But you're absolutely right, it does look like the guy in the photo has Hidden Mickeys on the backs of his sneakers.

Again, thanks for the warm welcome back. All you folks are great!!

Went back out to WDW yesterday to take a look at a few more decorations before they're taken down and have added a few new photos to the slide show. Boy, compared to the holidays, the place was empty yesterday. Even the clerks at DTD Marketplace were sitting around with nothing to do.
