Hi Tom! So glad you joined us here and delighted to hear you are coming to DW! Have you posted anything about DW Paris? If you are staying at one of the DW resorts you don't have to worry about parking at all. The car can stay at the resort and you take the resort bus! If staying off property there is plenty of parking you just pay. park and get on a tram to the park! I have never been Easter week but I have read it is very crowded, hopefully the week before won't be so bad! Again, WELCOME!!

Tom, I have stayed off site all but one of my trips and parking has never been a problem unless the park is full! Once you pay for the day if you decide to drive to another park you show your receipt and don't have to pay again. Since you are going to be there 2 weeks be sure and take some time to visit some of the resorts, like the Animal Kingdom Lodge, they are an experience themselves. :D

My experience with Parking has always been the following: If you get there early enough - you don't have to worry about it at all. The crowds I remember really start piling in between 10 and 1. I used to drive in from an hour away, and get there at 10, and I used to have to park in some of the furthest areas of the parking lot - but the way the system is laid out - unless they are super, super busy, you should find a place to park. Remember there are 4 parks here - with just as many parking lots. If it got so bad you couldn't park at one, say Epcot, you could park at MGM or Magic Kingdom and take the bus/monorail over.
Their parking lots are all pretty huge- and since I've been staying onsite the past few times, I've had no real situations with it. But based on my earliest recollections, just arrive early. You might even get a spot that is within walking distance (of Epcot) instead of taking the tram.

Welcome to DC, there is a real good chance that it will be a bit crowded while your there .. historically the 2 weeks before and after Easter are very busy times.

p.s. I have a very close friend that lives in West Midlands

Easter is a very crowded time to go. If you have a definate plan and utilize the early entry days at all of the parks, it can be done. As lo9ng as you know what to expect before you get there. You will need to make PS's for places to eat in advance or count on eating counter service or waiting for tables. I went in Easter of 2000 and it was a bit too much for me. I didn't have a good plan either so that could have been half of the problem.

Welcome to DC too BTW> All of your questions can and will be answered here. It's a pleasure to have you with us.
