daughter's age

Well, this is my first post and I am so excited to share a disney experience with my daughter. My question is regarding her age. She will be 3 in late april 0f 04. We are staying at the Caribbean resort the last week of March 04. It states that children under 3 get in free. This is where the tricky part comes in. My daughter is exceptionally tall. I don't mean by an inch or so, but quite a bit. She is well over 40 inches and look like a 4 or 5 year old. I don't believe that I should have to pay for her admission, but should I take along her birth certificate as proof?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to Disney Central. If,as you say, your child DOES look over three even though she isn't,I would bring along her birth certificate just in case someone does ask for proof of age.

thanks

thanks for the reply. Yes, she definitely does look well over her age. Not to sound like one of those "my child is awesome" parents, but she is rather excelled for her age...She is mistaken for a school age child all the time. So I think I will bring along her birth certificate.

Welcome to DC!

Wow, she is tall! I would take a copy of her BC just in case. You can just throw it in your bag a relax. I have never heard of Disney questioning the age of a child but that doesn't mean it never happens. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Have a wonderful trip!

Personally, I don't think you will be bothered by it. If you say she is 2, then they should not keep pestering you. I don't you will face any problems. They cannot judge others by appearance any more than anyone else.

thanks for all the kind words. I just don't want them to assume I am some cheap jerk just trying to get my daughter in for free. And yes, she is very tall. My wife and I are both over 6 feet tall, so I expect her to be a tall glass of water when she grows up....

Oh man, I don't even want to imagine her at 16........lol.......

thanks again to everyone. I haven't been back to disney since i was 10 years old. I think I will be as excited as she will.

Good job on the counter!! It is so nice to watch those day drop off every day. I used to come here just to see how many days until my trip! Look at my counter now, no daily checking for me any more.

Hey there Michigan!! Bet it is cold there! Welcome to DC and I hope you become a regular here. I have the opposite problem with my grandaughter. She is very short and although she was 6 on our last trip was not tall enough to ride many things she wanted too! I don't think Disney will question you at all, but take it just for peace of mind!

confession

when our granddaughter was 3 we said she was 2 *grin* we actually did it on accident because she was 2 when we booked the flight and trip ..and we just never thought about her being 3 when we arrived. In truth she turned 3 while we were at WDW. I dont believe they will challenge you about her age
